A Good Reason Tom Tancredo Would Be OK in The White House

I haven't committed to any one candidate this year yet, and quit the republican party in protest of Bush's along with my congressman's support for the shamnesty bill back in June so will be voting the first time as an independent. I will without a doubt be voting for a republican candidate nonetheless, and here's one reason why I like Tom Tancredo up there with the rest as a top tier choice along with Hunter, Fred Thompson, Guiliani and Ron Paul (just kidding with thePaul mention BTW)

I though would even go a step further than the threat he talked about here back in 2005, but then I'm not the president, so having one that will at least put this retaliatory option out on the table for all to see ahead of time is a step in the right direction to me.

That direction of stopping the appeasement that has even been there with the Bush administration to some degree. There's no argument he and his minions have been much tougher than anyone in the past without a doubt right or left..but their message is laced and even loaded at times with PC which Tancredo doesn't practice.
Threaten Muslim Holy Sites to Deter Terror:

Rep. Tancredo: "Before he became a candidate for president, Tom Tancredo was telling Americans that the U.S. should threaten to bomb Mecca if Islamic terrorists successfully detonate a nuclear device in America.

In July of 2005, he said on Fox News, 'If this [terror attack] happens, and if, in fact, we can prove that it was perpetrated by some fundamentalist Islamic - 'Islamo-fascist' is really I think what we should call them - then you might think about this as a threat, the retaliation on their holy sites."

"We are talking about a situation where our very lives are at stake, not just the life of the United States, but of Western civilization," he insisted.

A week later, Tancredo told WFLA Florida radio host Pat Campbell:

"You know, there are things that you could threaten to do before [a terror attack] happens ..."

The Colorado Republican then explained: "What if you said something like: If this happens in the United States and we determine that it is the result of extremist, fundamentalist Muslims - you know, you could take out their holy sites."

Asked if he was talking about bombing Mecca, Tancredo replied: "Yeah." continued

Why stop at Mecca I say. Tom said this all in his great book In Mortal Danger which I read in a weekend about 6 months ago and enjoyed it.

Get it yourself here as it's only a couple of bucks for a treasure trove of knowledge on this issue from someone fully briefed, impassioned and educated on the subject more than most candidates out there..
