Stewart promises Music Will Do All The Talking

As opposed to all the acts at Live Earth or Lib Aid whatever they called it who have to use foul language to get their musical points across apparently. I am by no means a" language prude or policeeman" and use salty language on occasion more than I probably should, but never in public or inappropriate venues, like where children may be lurking, even grown up ones like many at these shows on and off the stage.

Rod Stewart among many others, particularly in Britain and I'm sure elsewhere were offended by the swearing employed by quite a few of the American acts. Quickly the worst offender was Chris Rock and Modonna who both let fly a very for her un-ladylike and him quite typical M...F... er's sat at the opening of one of her songs and him his act, that you can hear and see her's here and his here.

This prompted Stewart to promise his shows would be expletive free after hearing how amatuerish and the swearing made these folks sound to him and others and how simply unnecessary it is, I suppose they think that this endears them to the younger crowd making them sound hip and cool which is the total opposite, at least with the kids that aren't already on their ways to being losers

Comedian Chris Rock's foul-mouthed appearance at Live Earth London prompted TV host Jonathan Ross to apologise to viewers.

And when Stewart played at Rioch Arena in Coventry on Tuesday, he promised to pay GBP10 to each member of the crowd if he swore.

He says, "I listened to people effing and blinding during the Live Earth Concert last weekend and it just sounded so cheap.

"If you hear me swear on stage I'll give you all a tenner."
