Ok, All Together Now ...Awww, That's too bad.

US businesses fear illegal foreign worker crackdown:

Breitbart, AFP "US businesses are bracing for a possible major crackdown on illegal foreign workers, as the government seeks to give immigration authorities more power to punish companies hiring undocumented workers.

President George W. Bush's administration has proposed a federal regulation that unions warn could lead to mass firings nationwide by companies seeking to avoid prosecution and fines.

'It's going to put businesses all over the nation in a bind,' said Tamar Jacoby, an immigration expert at the conservative Manhattan Institute.

'If the feds (federal authorities) really follow through with this, and I think they're going to, you're going to see lots of industries ... leave the US,' Jacoby said.
Oh that's just terrible. They leave the US then rest assured, other manufacturers will simply step right in to fill the empty void. These big business scare tactics are old and worn out, higher prices for consumers, product shortages etc are the first threats they toss out there, and ya know what? If that results in illegals leaving the country expeditiously I among millions of other patriots will gladly pay the higher prices in return for all the other substantiative gains made by their mass exit.

There will be absolutely no shortage of employees as they always claim to be the result of crackdowns, as the legal workforce will grow exponentially as the jobs are made available by the illegals being fired and deported.

They'll just have to start paying prevailing wages for the first time in a couple of decades. Something big and small business hasn't had to do, thus the uproar over these potential and long awaited as well as promised crackdowns.

This will also reveal that the massive profits some businesses are showing their stockholders and boards of directors as of late have never been due to executive wizardry to justify their obscene salaries and benefit packages and so forth, but have been amassed on the backs of poorly paid illegal workers who are being screwed by Big Biz just as we are. That's what they're afraid of revealing you can bet.

The obscene profit party's over folks, Americans want their country and jobs back now.
The rule under consideration in Washington relates directly to the potentially fraudulent use of Social Security numbers, which employees provide at the time of hiring.

Fake Social Security cards are widely available on the black market, allowing many immigrants to work at major US corporations.

Jacoby said the proposed regulation, left pending since June 2006, was boxed up while Congress debated a sweeping immigration reform plan that recently collapsed.

Since the legislation was buried, businesses have braced for the worksite enforcement regulation to be adopted by the Department of Homeland Security, she said.

The largest chicken processor in the United States, Pilgrim's Pride, has fired more than 100 employees who cannot produce valid Social Security numbers, according to news reports and advocates for the workers in rural east Texas.

Oh boy, a whopping 100 employees that need to be replaced. They'll have 1000 Americans lined up for those jobs tomorrow morning if not tonight. Who do they think they're kidding? They've been around their uneducated workforce for so long they forget we Americans aren't stupid.

Experts describe the firings as a pre-emptive move ahead of beefed-up enforcement.

Boy, those experts sure are smart aren't they, amazing what they learned in college. What a joke.
