They are still unemployed for whatever reasons, be it George Bush, Katrina, Slow Rebuilding, Racism, you name it, everything but....THEMSELVES is to blame, still. Still waiting for that free ride to start chugging again but it isn't happening, so it's get jobs or else like everybody else in every city after ever disaster to ever occur here or anywhere else.

Why is it after 2005, the most active hurricane season on record we never see headlines like:
- Hurrican Andrew Evacuees Still Unemployed...
- Or Oklahoma Tornado victims stretching Sister Cities Resources after displacement,
- Or Hurricane Wilma Residents Still Unemployed
- Or...... I think you get the picture hopefully.
Many Katrina Evacuees Are Still Jobless:
My Way News - "HOUSTON (AP) - Nineteen months after Hurricane Katrina sent evacuees from New Orleans streaming into Houston, more than 5,000 heads of households among them are still unemployed despite the city's booming economy, officials say.
The number of jobless is contributing to the sense among some Houston-area residents that the storm's victims are a drain on the city and have worn out their welcome.
After the storm, a quarter-million evacuees were brought to Houston, welcomed by Mayor Bill White, who threw open the Astrodome. Even before the storm, many were desperately poor, unemployed and on welfare or food stamps." read more
And many still are and apparently wish to remain that way for whatever reasons. I know from reports and studies that most who were disabled before and even after the storm are now on or still receiving their disability benefits rightfully, so why does the welfare problem follow these people wherever they travel? Kind of interesting isn't it?
