This was a worldwide reported yet local murder of a Husband and Wife, the Ehrenfeldts, owners of a Browns Chicken restaurant who were gruesomely killed along with their 6 employees that just about everybody in this country at least heard about at the time, I'm sure.
Incidentally these murders took place less than 3 miles from my home at the time in Palatine Illinois, in that very restaurant I ate at quite frequently in those good old days prior to that night.
In addition to that, I myself was actual witness to the police arrival on the scene of the crime that night/early morning14 years ago believe it or not as I was returning home with bandmates from a very late nite band gig at a local bar called Durty Nellies, and was still up anticipating a Sunday morning bears game that we were attending later that morning.
The one convicted murderer to the right on the left, is hopefully getting the death penalty for that crime which will be determined starting Monday May 14th. Of coarse we all know endless appeals from the left wing do gooders will prolong the misery for the victims families practically indefinitely, giving this slime yet more life than the already 14 plus years than their innocent victims received thanks to his and his buddies actions fateful night.
The second suspect, who is also guilty as hell is going on trial separately for the same crime and will hopefully be quickly disposed of at his trial as was his partner today. A small victory for the victims as this crime nearly went unsolved and even in Chicago left the area unnerved knowing these killers were walking around and even working amongst us all these years and indeed they were doing just that.
Man Guilty in Chicago Restaurant Murders:Chicagoray Footnote: By the way, This is the Illinois death penalty that he and his accomplice should receive that our wonderful crooked republican governor of yore, George Ryan, suspended in a last ditch effort to save his soon to then be ruined name and ass in the history annals.
My Way News - "CHICAGO (AP) - A man was found guilty Thursday in the execution-style murders of seven people a Chicago restaurant 14 years ago in what authorities say was a robbery that netted less than $2,000."Jurors deliberated for about eight hours before delivering the verdict against Juan Luna on all seven counts of first-degree murder. The same jurors will reconvene on Monday for the death penalty phase of case.
"Today the agonizing wait is over," said Wisconsin state Rep. Jennifer Shilling, whose parents owned the Brown's Chicken and Pasta in Palatine and were among those killed. "We as family can finally exhale from this long and emotional nightmare."
Victims' families began sobbing in the minutes before the verdict was read and their crying intensified when it was finally announced in court.
Another man, Luna's high school friend James Degorski, has pleaded not guilty to the murders and will be tried separately. read more
He (the governor himself) was later tried an convicted of many crimes against the state while Governor, and that ill advised Death Penalty decision should be one of them, but isn't.
In addition, thanks to to that fat-assed crook this state has now fallen into the hands of bleeding heart liberals and may never see a republican governor in my lifetime. And meanwhile many other killers languish on Death Row still breathing because of his loved by the left decision, knowing their chances of being put to death are practically nil right now. What a deterrent.
