Sticking Up For Oprah for Once

When I saw the pic to the left of Oprah that was used widely with a news story this week I immediately though of Janet Jackson and the infamous wardrobe malfunction.

But then the story of the poor, downtrodden citizenry complaining that the school she has provided them has rules that they must adhere to began to sink in and enrage me on behalf of Oprah, for I think the first time.

Of all the nerve to have a school built for you and your poor community by a complete stranger and outsider in order to try and educate those innocent children free of charge and then to expect them to stop living and acting like animals and obey some rules in return is too much to ask!

My first question is how do people in such a backwards, lost in time community, lacking even the most essential of needs to survive from day to day learn how to become such demanding spoiled thankless ungrateful liberals without ever moving to America and joining the democratic party?

For all intents and purposes I can do without Oprah and her talk show empire, but in this instance all that comes to my mind and on her behalf is that old worn out saying:

"No Good Deed Ever Goes Unpunished".

In this case that sure is the truth and if I were her which I am not, I would tell those ungrateful sob's to take a flying leap off their nearest camel's second hump and then shut that un appreciated place down quicker than you could say Slim Fast or Osama Obama..
Oprah's school 'too strict'

Johannesburg - The rules at Oprah Winfrey's ultra-posh school at Henley-on-Klip near Johannesburg are apparently so strict they make a reformatory look like a holiday resort.

That's the word from upset parents, who say the school rules make it difficult for them to keep contact with their children.

They would have aired their concerns during a satellite link-up with the chat show queen a week ago, but that was canceled at short notice by the school's management body.

Meanwhile the school seems to have made the rules even stricter. Until now, the girls could receive visitors every fortnight, but parents can now only visit them once a month.

Frances Mans, foster mother of Gweneth Mulder, said last week she would take her daughter out of the school if the rules were not changed. read more

Here is my answer to that woman's threat were I in charge of this place or even better yet if I were Oprah herself:

"Don't let the door hit you in your ungrateful lazy ass on the way out the door of the mud hut lady. "
