Many outside of Illinois may be unaware that the city of Chicago is one of these few cities that has a policy of not doing business with companies that have a lengthy history of or just a tiny implication of slave ownership in their past.
This feel-good white guilt ordinance was forced on applicants of city business in 2002 as a panacea to black alderman and activists (the usual ones) wishing for a more broad reperations demand that we have been hearing about from them for the past 9 or 10 years.
So my question is, if the companies doing business with the city have to disclose to the penny what if any profits or business gains came from slave ownership and then issue public apologies for suh actions, how about Senators and all politicians from Illinois and elsewhere wishing to be president of the United States disclosing family ownership of slaves as well.
Particularly those who are running based on the fact they are African American or some part therof. Or is it Muslim, Caucasian, all three, who the hell really knows at this point?
We don't but Barack probably does. Is he answering any of these questions? Not yet at least.
And for the libs or racial baiter's that say it shouldn't matter what his father did, etc etc, it sure isn't that way when the person who's famous father is white and didn't even own slaves (President Bush for instance).
It sure matters to them what George Senior did or Grandfather Prescott did with the Nazi's etc etc.
So it must matter to them what Great Gamps, Gramps or Daddy Obama did to get all that money to provide for Barack's privileged upbringing and his fancy high end education right enabling him to rise above all the obstacles in his way?. ( yeah right, of coarse not, he's a democrat, that stuff doesn't matter unless your a republican. You know, the ones who freed the slaves.)

A new twist to an intriguing family history -
baltimoresun.com: "WASHINGTON // Many people know that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's father was from Kenya and his mother from Kansas.
But an intriguing sliver of his family history has received almost no attention until now: It appears that forebears of his white mother owned slaves, according to genealogical research and census records."
The records - which had never been addressed publicly by the Illinois senator or his relatives - were first noted in an ancestry report compiled by William Addams Reitwiesner, who works at the Library of Congress and practices genealogy in his spare time. The report, on Reitwiesner's Web site, carries a disclaimer that it is a "first draft" - one likely to be examined more closely if Obama is nominated. read more
