So Should We Stop Showering?

....just a joke, but according to this study I saw floatin' around the past couple days that might be the way for the boys & men out there to pick up more women than they normally do when they're freshly showered and splashed up with expensive cologne.

And here all this time I thought smelling like an unwashed & filthy hillbilly's dog was offensive to women. Imagine that. (I do realize it's just one component of the sweat, not the actual bad smell per say that they speak of in this study, but the parody is to hard to pass up)

Male Sweat Can Boost Arousal in Women:

My Way News "BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - A chemical in male sweat can boost mood, brain activity and sexual arousal in heterosexual women, according to a new study released just in time for Valentine's Day.

The study offers the first direct evidence that humans secrete a scent that can affect the physiology of the opposite sex, said researchers at the University of California, Berkeley. Their findings were published this week in The Journal of Neuroscience.

'This is the first time anyone has demonstrated that a change in women's hormonal levels is induced by sniffing an identified compound of male sweat,' said study leader Claire Wyart, a postdoctoral fellow at UC Berkeley. 'There is much more going on than we think when we are smelling body odor.'" Yeah, ok..., need more.?

This supposed results of this study reminds me of the scene in the 80's movie Porky's when a young Kim Cattrall playing a young, loud, sex craving animalistic gym instructor gets led up to the boys locker room by the young men's instructor for some extra curricular sex and goes wild from the smells in there, subsequently getting both fired after the encounter, her by the very old female gym instructor and battleaxe, Beuhla Ballbreaker.

I've been in many men's locker rooms in my days and I find this study kinda hard to believe myself but.........who the hell knows. In the meanwhile I think I'll stick with the tried and tru shower regimen.
