The House didn't at all and we now await the Senate answer to this ridiculous measure in rebuke of the president's proposed and already begun troop surge in Iraq.
My congressman, a one Mark Kirk, also a Naval Reserve Veteran of all things who was one of the pathetic 16 that voted along with the dims yesterday, received an email from me this morning shared with some friends that inspired me to follow through writing and submitting it, will appear here along with any response from him, this once he's had a fair chance to read and respond to it.
In it I am scolding him for his in my opinion week-kneed support of Democrats yesterday that has brought shame to me and his other constituents who now regretfully voted him into office last November.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Senate gridlocked on the Iraq war in a sharply worded showdown Saturday as Republicans foiled a Democratic bid to repudiate President Bush's deployment of 21,500 additional combat troops.
The 56-34 vote fell four short of the 60 needed to advance a nonbinding measure identical to what the House passed Friday. read more
