In Nancy's Case Size Does Matter

Blogged about here starting last week resulting in an email to Henry Waxman Tuesday and posted yesterday with another Wash Times story, this morning they say the Military has given San Fran Nan an answer to her demands:

Pentagon limits Pelosi jet size -

The Washington Times, America's Newspaper: "The Department of Defense yesterday sent a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi that puts limits on the size of the plane she may use to travel across the country and restricts the guests she can bring, The Washington Times has learned. "

A congressional source who read the letter signed by Assistant Secretary of Defense Robert Wilkie said it essentially limits her to the commuter plane used by former Speaker J. Dennis Hastert, which requires refueling to travel from Washington to Mrs. Pelosi's San Francisco district. A second source, in the Bush administration, confirmed the contents of the letter. full story

Poor Nancy will have to be inconvenienced while the jet has to stop and refuel on it's way back to Loony Land as she travels without the rest of her gang in tow. "Imagine the nerve of the sexist military to deny her what she wants!" .....is what they'll be saying around the democratic water coolers today.

Next they'll complain that Dennis Hastert weighs twice as much as her so she wouldn't be using as much fuel to jet back and forth across the country at her whim therefore the bigger plane would not cost more or some other pretzel logic to explain her need for the Jumbo plane.

Then Pennsylvania FatAss Jihad Jack Murtha chimes in with this threat to the Pentagon regarding SanFran Nan's demands:

Murtha said House speakers' use of military planes preceded Sept. 11, 2001. He said he had interceded on behalf of former Democratic Speakers Thomas "Tip" O'Neill and Jim Wright on occasion to get them access to military aircraft.

Murtha said he is convinced the Pentagon has been leaking information about the possibility that Pelosi would use large military planes to make her look bad. But he said, "They're making a mistake when they leak it because she decides on allocations for them,'' referring to the Pentagon budget.

"Give us what we want our we'll cut pentagon spending" is about what that veiled threat amounts to. As if they (dimwit dems) could despise the military any more than they already do.

Meanwhile from Powerline comes this post about Speaker Freakolosi's choice of land transportation really show her concern for global warming only goes as far as what the regular folks should do to curb it, not her and her Dem buddies:

Powerline: Richard Miniter reports on Nancy Pelosi's preferred means ofland transportation. This morning Speaker Pelosei will be chauferred in her government-owned black Chevy Tahoe sport-utility vehicle to the Rayburn House Office Building -– where she will be the lead witness on a global warming hearing held by Science and Technology Committee. Rich adds:

The Tahoe emits 11 tons of greenhouse gases per year, according to U.S. Department of Energy. The agency ranks it as “one of the worst” vehicles on the road, according to www.fueleconomy.gov, a non-partisan government web site. read more here
