How this situation with Sandy Burglar got this far without even more scrutiny than it has with him receiving such light punishment after his traffic ticket type conviction is beyond the pale. 'Bout time this gets revisited again and again and re-prosecuted and then re-sentenced in the opinion of many. Of coarse, due to double-jeopardy rules this will most likely never happen.Mostly irate conservative citizens, pundits and just a small handful of lawmakers have demanded this thus far. And whether or not these new demands are met by the Bush justice department that has given this case from the start the "good old boy's network" treatment so far remains to be seen.
But a public humiliation like a failed lie-detector test and his future access to such secrets and information being revoked permanently, not the piddly 3 years as it stands right now, would be welcomed by many for these goofy and yet damaging transgressions he committed.
