I, like everyone else I'm sure have had enough of this unfortunate Jon Benet murder case over the years past, but this latest fiasco tops it all.

The carelessness and overzealousness of prosecuters wishing to be the next Elliot Spitzer is out of hand, although another possible scenario could be that they did try to bring him back here quietly to obtain the tests and such but were unable to due to the psycho news media sniffing around for their next wall to wall news story to fill the idle hours on Greta, Joe, Nancy Grace along with the rest. I guess bloggers like myself would be down the bottom of that food chain as well.

As for the nut that has confessed if thats what it's called, maybe if they try harder he'll confess to the JFK assasination and blowing up the New Orleans Levies last year.

Anyhow, just think, folks like this guy are walking amongst us day in and day out without any warning as to how nutty and crazy they truly are or can be.

9-11 Report In Illustrations

I hate to insult it by referring it to a comic book version, but it kind of is. It's an interesting explanation of the 9-11 attacks and the report through illustrations for those who find the actual report difficult to digest, which would include most folks I would imagine.

I do not recommend it for liberals however, as the pictures are somewhat difficult to understand, they tend to refer to factual information that the left doesn't seem to digest very well.

The Democrats made endless fun of the coalition of the willing, what do you call this hogan's hero's contigency, the coalition of the unwilling? You can't even get the Europeans to even defend their own backyards against terrorism for goodness sakes.

BRUSSELS, Belgium (AP) - U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan said Friday that Europe had agreed to provide the "backbone" of a peacekeeping force for Lebanon, providing nearly half of a 15,000-member contingent.

European officials said it would take up to three months to get all the troops on the ground.

Speaking after an emergency meeting of European foreign ministers, Annan also said has "firm commitments" from Malaysia, Indonesia and Bangladesh, and was consulting with Turkey about joining the peacekeeping force.

Israel has said it would oppose the deployment of troops from Muslim nations with which it does not have diplomatic ties, saying their inclusion would make it impossible for Israel to share vital intelligence information with the U.N. force.

"Europe is providing the backbone of the force," Annan said. "We can now begin to put together a credible force."

This Story Is Pretty Nutty Stuff

It's somethin' that one expects and regularly sees on the front cover of the National Enquirer and the Globe. But this story is apparently true and involves a very rare medical condition, it's sure the first time I've ever seen and heard of it.

ABC News: A Pregnant Man?: "Aug. 23, 2006 — Sanju Bhagat's stomach was once so swollen he looked nine months pregnant and could barely breathe.

Living in the city of Nagpur, India, Bhagat said he'd felt self-conscious his whole life about his big belly. But one night in June 1999, his problem erupted into something much larger than cosmetic worry.

An ambulance rushed the 36-year-old farmer to the hospital. Doctors thought he might have a giant tumor, so they decided to operate and remove the source of the bulge in his belly.

'Basically, the tumor was so big that it was pressing on his diaphragm and that's why he was very breathless,' said Dr. Ajay Mehta of Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. 'Because of the sheer size of the tumor, it makes it difficult [to operate]. We anticipated a lot of problems.'

Mehta said that he can usually spot a tumor just after he begins an operation. But while operating on Bhagat, Mehta saw something he had never encountered. As he cut deeper into Bhagat's stomach, gallons of fluid spilled out — and then something extraordinary happened.

Below is the latest from Michelle Malkin via Chrys at Pettifog on missing Steve Centanni & Olaf Wiig, presumably still being held hostage by some gaza based filth for who knows what reason, as that no responsibility nor demands have been made by any groups thus far as a result of their kidnapping.

Video of Kidnapped Journalists Released

A previously unknown Palestinian group released video Wednesday of two kidnapped Fox News journalists and demanded that Muslim prisoners in U.S. jails be released within 72 hours in exchange for the men, a Palestinian news agency reported.

They all act as if they were sent to Washington by the collective American people when they were not, they were sent there to represent their state and it's individual residents and that is it.

Therefore when they claim to speak for America as a whole as the so often do, they do not. This is a distinction not only they forget but that most foreigners do not make. They all think when Kerry speaks, or Murtha speaks it carries the weight of America's voices behind it which as we know it does not. It's long past the time for these lunatic libs to shut the hell up.

I myself am a subscriber of comcast both internet and cable, and should they decide to add this programming to the menu of available viewing I and my immediate family members will certainly be cancelling our subscriptions, and thats $1160 worth of business per month from just my immediate family members households, basically 4, not including my business connection. AL-JAZEERA PLANS FALL U.S. DEBUT By PETER LAURIA T - New York Post Online Edition: Business: "August 20, 2006 -- The Arab world's No. 1 cable news network is finally coming to America.

The much-delayed launch of the English-language version of the controversial Al-Jazeera network is targeting its launch date on these shores in November.

The date, pushed back from its latest September start date, will coincide with the 10th anniversary of the network.

Ahead of the launch, Al-Jazeera International - which has already signed up famed British broadcaster David Frost -has secured carriage agreements with cable, satellite, telecom and broadband video providers, according to spokesman Michael Holtzman.

When Our American Indians Start Bitching About Illegals, It Must Be A Flipping Problem

Ben Stein Hit's a Homerun With His Assessment of Present Times

I saw this editorial linked to on Little Green Footballs Sunday, and like Charles Johnson said in his preamble to the post basically "How this made it past the New York Times Censoring Panel" cannot be said any better. As you read it you will see what he meant and like myself will think the same thing.

It's such a shame that an American institution like the NYT's is falling apart at the seams as it's ownership and management attempt to thrust their unwanted liberal European style agenda on Americans at a time in history when it couldn't be more obvious to anyone with their eyes open that the majority of us, even alot of liberals say it's not for us. Ben Stein ouitlines beautifully what and who made America great in such a short time and what is at risk for us right now if we don't all come together and fight our asses off for this country and what it still stands for.

So, Israel, which was supposed to be the shining light of how peace is won, is not shining as bright — despite President Bush’s extreme support for a good long time.

Terrorists are still hatching plots against the air traffic system of the West, and this time bigger and worse than before. Obviously, Al Qaeda is far from dead. We have much to fear from it still. The fact that the suspects were almost all home-grown Britons makes the situation that much more frightening and unpredictable. How long will it be until American-born terrorists strike against American targets? We are a big country and we have a lot of unhappy people. How long until they organize themselves to kill? Not long, I am afraid.

While we’re at it, yes, it’s miraculous and wonderful that the plot was foiled, if it was. But now the whole Western world will be seriously inconvenienced in its travel for years, maybe decades. Isn’t this already a victory for our enemies? Isn’t this already a blow against world business? Might it be enough to push our already slowed growth into a recession? full editorial

It's because of that man we have one of American military history's greatest moments immortalized on film and then subsequently in monumental form. As we all know, some 60 years later this picture also became the inspiration of the firemen raising the flag at ground zero after 9-11.

There was Nothing Fauxtographic about this photographer, unlike some of the photographers stringing for the wire services today as we have recently learned.

Joe Rosenthal 1911-2006 / Photo was his fame -- his pride 'My Marines' / The image of flag going up on Iwo Jima was extraordinary: "(08-20) 23:27 PDT -- Retired Chronicle photographer Joe Rosenthal, who won the Pulitzer Prize and international acclaim for his soul-stirring picture of the World War II flag-raising on Iwo Jima, died Sunday in Novato.

Rosenthal, 94, retired from The Chronicle in 1981 after a distinguished 35-year career and many professional honors, but the flag-raising picture was his masterpiece for which he will always be remembered.

The Pulitzer Committee in 1945 described the photo as 'depicting one of the war's great moments,' a 'frozen flash of history.'

Rosenthal, born Oct. 9, 1911, in Washington, D.C., was found dead at about 10:45 a.m. in his bed at his home in the Atria Tamalpais Creek assisted living center.

He was a 33-year-old Associated Press photographer on Feb. 23, 1945, when he captured the black-and-white image of five battle-weary Marines and a Navy corpsman struggling to raise a flag atop Mount Suribachi on Iwo Jima.

He took the picture on the fifth day of the furious 36-day battle that left 6,621 American dead and 19,217 wounded. All but 1,083 of the 22,000 dug-in Japanese defenders were killed before the island was secured." full article

This Pic Is Pretty Cool Too

Terry and Monty Woods, however, welcomed the addition of a 220-foot diameter design pressed into their oat field near Amity, knowing it was the work of Oregon State University students and Mozilla Corp. interns, not aliens or pranksters.

John Carey, film afficionado and intern at Mountain View, Calif.-based Mozilla, has long been fascinated with the crop circle phenomenon.

“I’m obsessed with the movie ‘Signs.’ It’s like my favorite movie, so I’m always thinking about crop circles,” said Carey, a sophomore at Missouri State University.

So it’s no surprise that not too long ago, while on a cross-country flight, Carey’s conversation with the person seated next to him inevitably turned to crop circles.

“It just kind of popped into my head to do a crop circle of the Firefox logo. Everyone thought it was really cool because it’s kind of nerdy, which fits in well with the Internet company,” he said." full story

'Zero Tolerance for People,' Chertoff Says

In a move aimed at further tightening airport security, the Federal Aviation
Administration announced today that it would ban all people from flights
leaving or entering the United States, effective immediately.

The FAA, which has in the past banned such objects as toenail clippers and
hair gel, took the extraordinary step of banning people after the Department
of Homeland Security conducted a thorough investigation of previous terror
plots.

"We looked at terror plots of the past, and in each and every case, people
were involved," said Homeland Security Michael Chertoff at a Washington press
briefing. "These new rules send the strong message that the FAA has zero
tolerance for people."

Mr. Chertoff said that while banning liquids from flights was a constructive
step, the only true solution was to ban people altogether.

"Let's face it, hair gel doesn't kill people," he said. "People kill
people."

The Homeland Security Secretary acknowledged that the new rules would
curtail Americans' ability to travel, but added, "On the plus side, that will
makethem easier for us to spy on."

The FAA's ban on people onboard flights raised questions for the nation's
airlines, which must now ponder what, if anything, there airplanes will be
carrying.

But Davis Logsdon, who studies the airline industry at the University of
Minnesota, said that the FAA's crackdown on people could be a "win-win" for
theairlines: "Maybe if the airlines don't have people to worry about, they can
finally concentrate on getting our luggage to the right destination."

Elsewhere, al-Qaeda disavowed responsibility for a terror plot to make
Americans' laptops burst into flames, blaming it instead on Dell.
