Sure, it's true that we already get the terrorist sympathy slant from our own news outlets like the New York Times and the latest radical Islamic spokesman over at SEE BS, Mike Wallace. But this is a 24/7 wall to wall Islamo version of CNN blasting terrorist propaganda right into the living rooms of millions of Americans.
This must be stopped as the right to freedom of speechvia the very 1st freaking amendment in our constitution does not extend itself to foreign news agencies carrying the water of today's terrorists. You can't argue this one, as I'm sure that the founding fathers would not and in fact DID NOT allow the british to sell their newspapers during the revolutionary war on the street corners of the thirteen colonies in fairness to all. How do we know that? Well Ben Franklin basically discovered the idea of distributing public forum type things here in America or what were known then again as the thirteen colonies.
I myself am a subscriber of comcast both internet and cable, and should they decide to add this programming to the menu of available viewing I and my immediate family members will certainly be cancelling our subscriptions, and thats $1160 worth of business per month from just my immediate family members households, basically 4, not including my business connection. As sad as this may sound coming from a supposed conservative, I would rather have my children watching and listening to Howard Stern than allowing them to be polluted by the wacky world view of the Islamic Fascist movement travelling through the American and worldwide countryside like wildfire. AL-JAZEERA PLANS FALL U.S. DEBUT By PETER LAURIA T - New York Post Online Edition: Business: "August 20, 2006 -- The Arab world's No. 1 cable news network is finally coming to America.
The much-delayed launch of the English-language version of the controversial Al-Jazeera network is targeting its launch date on these shores in November.
The date, pushed back from its latest September start date, will coincide with the 10th anniversary of the network.
Ahead of the launch, Al-Jazeera International - which has already signed up famed British broadcaster David Frost -has secured carriage agreements with cable, satellite, telecom and broadband video providers, according to spokesman Michael Holtzman.
'We've gotten carriage across the board,' Holtzman said. 'We just can't identify with whom at this stage because they are at different stages.'
Holtzman said the debut will be available in more than just a smattering of American homes.
'There are major players at the table,' Holtzman said. 'This won't be a tiny toehold; we will have significant access.'
AJI previously stated that it hopes to launch with distribution in at least 40 million homes worldwide. full story
