Yesterday's post Even some Muslim leaders appear to have come out of the closet and actually criticized the decision made by the Mozart Opera that was self censored by the theatre out of fear from radical Muslim reprisals.
Even though these leaders state that they were against the decision, just how much pull if any they have with the radical torch and burn faction of their community is not really explored, so even though they come out against it would be no guarantee that the theatre would not have recieved the allah stamp of disapproval.
Anyhow, capitulation and self censorship is not the answer to this problem as German Chancellor Merkel repeated yesterday. Blogger Categories: Religion of peace

Muslims agree it was wrong to silence Mozart opera | the Daily Mail: "German opera chiefs who cancelled a Mozart opera for fear of offending Muslims were hit by a furious backlash yesterday.

At a summit of religious leaders and security chiefs, the two sides decided they may go to see the show together, according to interior minister Wolfgang Schaeuble.
Last night pressure was on Berlin's Deutsche Oper to reverse its decision to cancel the production of Idomeneo. The company was said to be monitoring developments. Deutsche Oper announced on Tuesday that it had scrapped its staging of the opera because of a scene in which the severed head of the prophet Mohammed rolls on to the stage." full story
