As I was posting this (08:00 cdt) Fox News is reporting that Zarqawi was actually alive when found during Wednesdays bombing. I can read the NY Times Headlines already:
(SATIRE) Al Zarqawi killed in cold blood after surviving unnecessarily brutal bombing!! Congressman John Murtha has accused the US of intentionally shooting Jordanian freedom fighter/honorary Iraqi citizen Abu Al Zarqawi in cold blood as he lay wounded after an errant US missle hit the Insurgents nursing home he was visiting while on a goodwill tour of a Baghdad neighborhood.
Mr Murtha and Nancy Pelosi will be holding a news conference this afternoon in conjunction with a John Kerry rally condemning US Marines for acting like too soldierly during wartime. (dont laugh, it might be forthcoming)
• Update 08:45 cdt Zarqawi alive after bombing
Meanwhile back to the LooneyLib conspiracy dissection;

Meanwhile back to the LooneyLib conspiracy dissection;
FrontPage magazine.com :: The Left and the Death of Zarqawi by Ben Johnson: "George W. Bush called it “a severe blow to al-Qaeda.” Donald Rumsfeld called it “a significant victory.” Joe Biden admitted it a was “very significant hit.” How did much of the Left describe the killing of al-Qaeda murderer Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi? A “transparent psychological operations campaign run out of the Pentagon”; “a double tragedy”; “part of a larger and tragic story of miscalculation”; a possible fraud; a conspiracy; not “moral”; an “obscene spectacle”; no “big deal”; and good cause to beat a hasty retreat." more
That early morning news was the best thing I heard all day. A little suffering goes a long way - to 72 VIRGINS to be exact? (Duh - these people must be really lame) And his last visual experience is even better. About the conspiracy? Some people think sideways too often. ;-D
