Chicago The Morning After, 14 inches of Snow and Earthquake in Same Day

Child's play for this part of the country, slowed things down for the afternoon and evening yesterday, but everyone was awakened to news of an earthquake as well overnight with nary an injury to report as my other post indicates. In fact I thought the quake as it turned out was just another snowplow.

This year we've used 100 million tons less of salt than the previous but this month is just beginning. A little different story than the nation's capitol, that much I can tell you.  

Our politicians might mostly suck, but one thing we people here can handle is this "winter shit".

Further north up in Wisonsin like everywhere else, truckers moving the nation's goods are even getting pushed into the rest stops and highway shoulders due to the massive attack of Global Warming this week across the nation.

Haitian Leader Thanks Americans for Immediate Assistance

This is nice to hear once in a while, as you may remember tens of thousands of Iranian's probably died due to their whack assed leaders turning down US assistance in the aftermath of the Bam earthquake in 2003

That's how much those leaders hate us and Obama wants to unconditionally be their buds.

Here's what other countries are supposedly doing, however they are all famous for saying one thing at the onset and doing something else when the press dies down and they can screw us and let America foot the bill. Just you watch because I will be and will report on it all later.

Just look at this list, it's pretty freaking pathetic really.

• The United Nations is releasing $10 million from its emergency funds.
  
  
• The Irish telecommunications company Digicel said it would donate $5 million to aid agencies and help repair the damaged phone network.
  
  
• The European Commission has approved $4.37 million with more funds likely. Spain has pledged $4.37 million, and sent three planes with rescue teams and 100 tons of emergency relief equipment.
  
  
• The Netherlands has donated $2.91 million and will send a 60-person search-and-rescue team.
  
  
• Germany gave $2.17 million and sent an immediate response team. Another team with 20 rescue dogs is on standby.
  
  
• China will donate $1 million, according to Xinhua News Agency.
  
  
• Sweden has offered $850,000 along with tents, water purification equipment and medical aid. 
• Venezuela has sent doctors, firefighters and rescue workers.
  
  
• Mexico will send doctors, search-and-rescue dogs and infrastructure damage experts. France is sending two planes with doctors, food and medical equipment.
  
  
• Britain has sent 64 firefighters with search-and-rescue dogs and 10 tons of equipment Iceland is sending 37 search-and-rescue specialists.
  
  
• Taiwan is flying in 23 rescue personnel and 2 tons of aid and equipment. Israel is sending an elite army rescue unit including engineers, rescue workers, doctors and medics.

My Way News -"PADANG, Indonesia (AP) - Rescue workers pulled victims, some screaming in pain, from the heavy rubble of buildings felled by a powerful earthquake that killed at least 531 people. The death toll was expected to rise.

The brunt of Wednesday's 7.6-magnitude earthquake, which originated in the sea off Sumatra island, appeared to have been borne by Padang town where 376 people were killed. Four other districts accounted for the remaining deaths.

The region was jolted by another powerful earthquake Thursday morning, causing damage but no reported fatalities."  more
