Oh My Dodd! Another 'Fake' Dem Hero as Senate Candidate Misrepresented Himself as Combat Vet | Blames NYT

This is from Newsbusters this morn.

Connecticut Sen. Christopher Dodd looked at his polls and decided to retire, so Democrats were buoyed by the hope of replacing him with the state's Attorney General, Richard Blumenthal. Credit should go to The New York Times and Raymond Hernandez for digging up something embarrassing. Blumenthal's not a Vietnam combat veteran, as he has implied:

“We have learned something important since the days that I served in Vietnam,” Mr. Blumenthal said to the group gathered in Norwalk in March 2008. “And you exemplify it. Whatever we think about the war, whatever we call it — Afghanistan or Iraq — we owe our military men and women unconditional support.”

There was one problem: Mr. Blumenthal, a Democrat now running for the United States Senate, never served in Vietnam. He obtained at least five military deferments from 1965 to 1970 and took repeated steps that enabled him to avoid going to war, according to records.  Read more:

What can you say about someone who thinks they can get away with this kind of 'storytelling' nowadays unless you're Barack Obama. Perhaps that's what the temperature is on the dem scene where they basically say amongst themselves in private "tell those imbeciles anything, if they buy the Obama narrative they'll buy anything".

They're almost right, but this is the lowest, portraying ones self as a war hero. I really hate liberals who make this up because it's so damaging to the military when an assumed hero comes out and trashes the military for one reason or another based on their "false experiences". 

This has been a problem on the left for as long as I can remember as the left is quick to grab onto any "hero" who meanders in their path because it's so infrequent they see a real live hero in that 'tribe' and they want to get maximum political points if possible as we've  learned from a couple of these frauds now,  like  Jesse MacBeth. Remember that scum?

Like this man has done for years as well which has effected all kinds of military policy starting with his Winter Soldier hearing lies.

We'll wait and see how Blumenthal tries to explain his way out of this today which we'll post here when he does finally appear. Some good links below, I actually read the middle 2 myself.
