This thing is one of those local "phenom's" every town and city has and was recently torn down although it gained much popularity with younger folks as much as the older crowd when it was put up from a "well paying off" Wayne's World cameo and was demolished back in 2008.
The man who created it, Dustin Schuler, was a local artist living in the south Suburb of Berwyn, where the "spindle" is located, has died today at the age of 61, as he outlasted his beloved artifact, which again was taken down in 2008 during the month of May, strangely enough.
