That's what happens now every time voters shoot down these gay marriage fiasco's and this thing needs to be put on the shelf once and for all as the predominant opinion is against introducing this law anywhere in the US, even in the most liberal states we've now witnessed in California and Maine, being rejected election after election and will too in Iowa eventually when they see the demographic change..
THIRTY ONE STATES, EVERY ONE IT APPEARS, IT'S REJECTED ! EVERY ONE...
So, not only is it time to end this debate, hopefully the Maine people up there who helped overturn this law of loons aren't firebombed, administered death threats, actually attacked and the likes after this decision, as has been the case in recent years against people as pictured below celebration the Yes to 1 which was the name of the referendum.
Stuff of which the "Gay Gestapo" movement has now become known for since the California reversals, which incidentally and somewhat comically helps keep this out of the main stream where it does not belong and never did.. so to a degree please do us all a favor and keep up the bad behavior minus the violence because we're all really sick of that....
Yahoo! News: "PORTLAND, Maine – Maine voters repealed a state law Tuesday that would have allowed same-sex couples to wed, dealing the gay rights movement a heartbreaking defeat in New England, the corner of the country most supportive of gay marriage.
Gay marriage has now lost in every single state — 31 in all — in which it has been put to a popular vote. Gay-rights activists had hoped to buck that trend in Maine — known for its moderate, independent-minded electorate — and mounted an energetic, well-financed campaign.
With 87 percent of the precincts reporting, gay-marriage foes had 53 percent of the votes.
'The institution of marriage has been preserved in Maine and across the nation,' declared Frank Schubert, chief organizer for the winning side.
Gay-marriage supporters held out hope that the tide would shift before conceding defeat at 2:40 a.m. in a statement that insisted they weren't going away." continued
