Jones apologizes for statements, denies 9/11 doubts

This Van Jones scandal is eliciting more apologies after Glenn Beck today and Michael Savage originally back in March started uncovering some of Jones' communist leanings and feelings on America, his stance on 9-11 and George Bush being complicit in the attacks, which thus includes him in the fringe groups known as Troofers and pretty unbecoming to say the least for someone now taking a high level government paycheck from our tax dollars.

Here's what Beck said yesterday , it's good if you missed it ....(video link)

and what the White House said about 4 hours later...I call it Obamablahblah

Ben Smith - POLITICO.com: "A high-profile White House official is apologizing for a series of provocative statements on race and politics, and denying he ever backed a statement suggesting President Bush was complicit in the September 11 terror attacks, which appeared above his signature.

'Green jobs' pioneer Van Jones -- who made his name fusing environmentalism with anti-poverty efforts in California -- said in a statement through the White House press office:

In recent days some in the news media have reported on past statements I made before I joined the administration – some of which were made years ago. If I have offended anyone with statements I made in the past, I apologize. As for the petition that was circulated today, I do not agree with this statement and it certainly does not reflect my views now or ever.

My work at the Council on Environmental Quality is entirely focused on one goal: building clean energy incentives which create 21st century jobs that improve energy efficiency and use renewable resources.

The statement suggests that the White House will stand by Jones, who has become a top target of Fox News's Glenn Beck and other conservatives online, on talk radio and on cable news, which focused on his rhetorical attacks on 'U.S. imperialism"
