Mass. Sen. Edward M. Kennedy dies at age 77

I don't have anything to say about this than rest in peace. now at least. He died this morning exactly one year to the hour from being diagnosed with the terminal brain tumor he fought bravely.

Although I wonder if he's going to be buried at sea? Alright I guess I'll make my opinions known now...

Good bye Ted the swimmer...or the liberal lion to the loons.....

This man was in the senate for 47 flippin' years, 2 more than I've been alive or nine presidents and ten governors worth, not what the founders intended....with some good stuff mixed among much damaging and prolific socialist idealism as well...

How do you thing the founders would have felt about a career politician like Ted Kennedy?

Not good in many ways, especially the one just mentioned ...

Although he must be given credit for many things he accomplished, especially with such tragedy befalling that family not to mention the tragedy he injected into the Kopechne family, then starting with shooting down of his oldest brother Joe in WWII and then the assassinations of his other two brothers and finally John Jr....that's a lot of tough bullspit for any family, even the Kennedy's of "Camelot"..

Thank the lord that crap is over, that Camelot crud ..ugh!!!

"HYANNIS PORT, Mass. (AP) - Massachusetts Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, the liberal lion of the Senate, has died after battling a brain tumor. He was 77.

Kennedy's family announced his death in a brief statement released early Wednesday.

For nearly a half-century in the Senate, Kennedy was a dominant voice on health care, civil rights, war and peace, and more. To the American public, though, he was best known as the last surviving brother of a storied political family.

Kennedy was elected to the Senate in 1962, when his brother John was president, and served longer than all but two senators in history.

Over the decades, Kennedy put his imprint on every major piece of social legislation to clear the Congress."
This Fox News Interactive is pretty good covering his life with an decent timeline and about 50 good pictures if you're into historical stuff as I am, click the pic for the new window
