The criminal who ran Detroit for some time named Kwame Kilpatrick and was removed from office has reportedly now disgraced himself even more by coming in 3 days late and a few dollars short on his restitution obligation he agreed to pay in a plea agreement, a violation that would land many back in jail.Showing up $3500 short on his $6000 payment is an obvious attempt at Kilpatrick playing broke so the constituents and law enforcement can't pin him down for stealing too much while on the job in Detroit, as any man who was in charge of a city as big as Detroit can't come up with 6 thousand a month is either a liar or a complete loser.
Take your pick or all of the above could apply in his case and many others running municipal governments into the ground in liberal cities and states across America thanks to all the hand outs they all love so much instead of the hand up that conservatives prefer.
My Way News - Ex-Detroit mayor late, $3,500 short on restitution
Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick's latest restitution payment arrived three days late and $3,500 short, the Free Press has learned.
A judge in March ordered Kilpatrick to pay $6,000 a month in restitution toward the $1 million he agreed to pay the City of Detroit when he pleaded guilty last year to two perjury-related felonies. His lawyer argued that Kilpatrick could afford to pay only $6 a month.
After mustering $6,000 for his April restitution payment, Kilpatrick sent only $2,500 last month. The payment, due on the 15th of each month, came on May 18, said Russ Marlan, spokesman for the Michigan Department of Corrections.
Failing to make full restitution payments could lead to Kilpatrick being found in violation of his probation.
In another complication for the former mayor, Compuware officials contradicted Kilpatrick's explanation for why he wanted to go on a congressional trip last month to the Middle East.
He said it was for work. They said it was not.
