"Drunk man killed trying to saw through live power line"
What can you say other than this man is the winner of the week's Darwin Award and it's only Monday, God help us all.
I'm sorry, but sadly, anyone stupid enough to take a chainsaw to a live, downed power line gainst the orders of Police and Fire Officials on the scene is lucky they lived long enough to become an adult, and not only that but a retired one as this guy was or at least damn close at 64...
and we should thank the lord this dangerous man didn't take 50 people with him from some other crazy decision similar to this fateful one he made while drunk off his ass.
It's too bad his poor family will be obviously suffering with their loss, and for them I feel truly sorry, but if it wasn't this event it would have been something else, like drunk driving perhaps taking some innocent person with him next time.
Just imagine what other crazy crap that man managed to lived through to get to this point, and let this be a lesson to everyone, alcohol sure can make seemingly normal people make stupendously ignorant decisions, and this story should be told to all the people across the land going through drunk driving classes to accentuate what drunkenness can do to one's perception of reality.

KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | National & World News: "POND EDDY, N.Y. (AP) - New York authorities say a man was fatally electrocuted early Saturday when he tried to cut through a downed power line with an industrial saw.
Authorities say the 64-year-old Pond Eddy man was drunk and ignored repeated orders to stay away from the cable.
The accident happened in the presence of firefighters who had been guarding the fallen line.
The Sullivan County public safety commissioner says officials chased the man away from the line several times before he fetched the saw from his house.
Authorities say the line fell in a storm yesterday and had been down for about seven hours while utility crews tended to damage elsewhere."
