He was a proud Marine, enlisted in WWII and re upped in the Korean war as well as an F-9 Panther pilot, and flew 85 combat missions as an artillery spotter during the wars. A real old fashioned, American hero like all our grandfathers and grandmothers were from America's Best Generation who saved the world from Hitler, Mussolini and fascism.
As most know McMahon has had troubles through the past two years with his longtime home facing foreclosure and during this time not one single Hollywood jerkoff reached into their deep pockets to help pay off or at least assist the man who made stars out of most of these people with his longtime precursor show to American Idol called Star Search.
People like Justin Timberlake, Brittany Spears, both discovered on Star Search sure didn't think they owed Mr McMahon a damn thing now did they? All he really needed was a couple hundred thousand dollars, which is chump change to most of these self centered no talent entertainers of today and yet nary a one came calling in his time of need.
Many of whom not only display animosity towards the country that made them all rich but the fans who do as well along the people like McMahon who discovered them all.
However, in December last passed, a consortium led by Donald Trump did step in to buy the mansion and said they would allow McMahon to continue living there, although the public humiliation of facing eviction had already done it's damage to the long ill star and his family as he made some self deprecating commercials like one with free creditreport.com and some others to raise some badly needed cash.
May he finally rest peace, and hopefully somehow his wife will be taken care of ,seeing the man was near penniless thanks to some obvious poor planning, likely over generosity not reciprocated in his time of need, topped off by this tanking Obama economy and real estate markets.
So in his passing all this patriotic and grateful American has left to say to he and his grieving family and friends is the following:
"Thanks Mr McMahon for your service to country, all the great memories and the endless nights of entertainment you and your great friend Johnny Carson gave America for many decades, you'll never be replaced in this sad Hollywood American idol culture of today, and you will remain a true star in our thoughts and prayers".
