However with the additional angle of the internet and easily obtained modern technology introduced to the equation, that forbidden fruit had taken on a whole new and more dangerous twist, and that is this phenomenon of the children (as that's what they are) have taken to filming themselves and or one another engaged in acts of sexual encounters if not outright pornographic films and images and then distributing them on the internet.
Obviously without any understanding whatsoever what ramifications such acts could on their present and future lives, just like many of us did growing up engaging in far less nefarious and damaging things than this.
Things that can haunt one for a lifetime and in ways tomorrow that even we adults can't predict today once saddled with criminal records, std's, God Forbid contracting AIDS, encountering violent rape or even death at the present moment as a result of a stupid decision made today as an innocent kid in often ugly adult world.
Is this step something good in the direction of helping them understand the dangers of what they're doing, by turning them from potential victims into criminals, I'm not so sure and there is no easy answer to this dilemma I'm afraid.....
3 Minors Arrested For Alleged Sex Video -
Boston News Story ". -- Police in Holbrook are investigating charges against three minors who allegedly created a video of two of them having sexual intercourse while the third recorded it, then distributed the video to junior high students.
'The video depicts two minors engaging in sexual intercourse,' Holbrook police officer Keysha Mitchell said. She said the person recording the scene was also a minor.
The video was then distributed among students at Holbrook Junior-Senior High School, police said, and the charges that may be leveled against the teens are serious as the forwarding of such a video, also known as 'sexting,' is a felony offense."
