Hell, after he chucked his now dead Granny, the Venerable Rev Wrong and old friend Hot Rod Blagojevich underneath it no one will be spared Obama's famous knifes in the back on his relentless rise to ultimate journey for power, so why should Joe Biden think Obama wouldn't treat him just the same as he does everyone else he's used and abused on his climb up the ladder of power so quickly.
Fox News has the actual exchange and article about the Obama Screw you express herePity poor Joe Biden. His "there's still a 30 percent chance we're going to get it wrong" quote is put straight to President Barack Obama during the White House press conference just now and his boss seemed to want to say: "Vice-President Who?"
As reporters started giggling, Obama came close to conceding that Biden was indeed a joke. "You know, I don't remember exactly what Joe was referring to, not surprisingly."
The President went on to say that "I think what Joe may have been suggesting, although I wouldn't ascribe any numerical percentage to any of this, is that given the magnitude of the challenges that we have, any single thing that we do is going to be part of the solution, not all of the solution."
Of course, Biden wasn't saying anything of the sort - Obama knew that and all the rest of us did too.
Biden's exact quote, read out by Fox's Major Garrett at the presser was: "If we do everything right, if we do it with absolute certainty, if we stand up there and we really make the tough decisions, there's still a 30 percent chance we're going to get it wrong."
Clearly, Obama and his aides were unhappy about Biden's loose lips. On Friday, top Obama adviser David Axelrod said on CNN: "I don't know exactly about what that math was."
We're probably going to have to get used to Obama explaining "what Joe may have been suggesting". And Biden must be wondering if he's going to end up as a Dan Quayle figure.
Did Obama Throw Biden Under the Bus? -
Presidential Politics | Political News - FOXNews.com: "Yin and yang... or, oil and water?
President Obama's explanation during his press conference Monday night of a comment made last week by Vice President Joe Biden appears to raise that question.
FOX News' White House correspondent Major Garrett asked the president to explain a Biden comment made last Friday, during which he said, 'there's still a 30 percent chance we're going to get it wrong.'
Read the exchange:
OBAMA: All right. Major Garrett, where's Major?
GARRETT: Mr. President, at a speech Friday that many of us covered, Vice President Biden said the following thing about a conversation the two of you had in the Oval Office about a subject he didn't disclose.
'If we do everything right, if we do it with absolute certainty, if we stand up there and we really make the tough decisions, there's still a 30 percent chance we're going to get it wrong.'
Since the vice president brought it up, can you tell the American people, sir, what you were talking about? And if not, can you at least reassure them it wasn't the stimulus bill or the bank rescue plan and if, in general, you agree with that ratio of success, 30 percent failure, 70 percent success?
OBAMA: You know, I don't remember exactly" continued
