From "Hero Sulley" We Go To "Sickie" On Ruskie Airliner

Hey, we all know according to stereotypes that Russian descendants tend to enjoy drinking alcohol as part and parcel of their hearty culture, but a stinking drunk airline pilot that has to be subdued and neutralized by enraged and frightened passengers is carrying that stereotype a little too far if you ask me.

In fact one could say the drunken pilot may have actually hijacked the plane if allowed to fly in an incapacitated condition, and thank goodness some of the passengers since 911 have now taken it upon themselves to act when things inside airliners take a turn to the unusual or downright scary as these people thankfully did when this drunken idiot was so visibly intoxicated the passengers took him out in the "meet and greet" while boarding the plane!

While somewhat comical on the surface, just imagine if they had not taken action and pilot "Vladimir" had actually taken this thing airborne not only endangering his own passengers but every plane in the skies and on the ground between their takeoff and hopeful destination point, if they ever made it there.

Could you imagine if an emergency had arisen while commanding this plane and someone in this condition is the difference between the plane crashing or landing safely under such duress and Sullenberg and his crew pulled off successfully?

So it turns out we have some real hero's driving and guiding these things like Sulley Sullenberg from the Hudson river incident and then we have everyday schleps and nimrods like this drunken stumblebum.

Passengers stop flight after 'drunk' pilot sparks panic

- Times Online: "It is normally a moment of cheery reassurance when an airline pilot greets passengers during preparations for take-off. But Alexander Cheplevsky sparked panic on flight Aeroflot 315 when he began to speak.

His slurred and garbled comments ahead of a flight from Moscow to New York convinced passengers that he was drunk. When he apparently switched from Russian into unintelligible English, fear turned to revolt.

Flight attendants initially ignored passengers' complaints and threatened to expel them from the Boeing 767 jet unless they stopped 'making trouble'. As the rebellion spread, Aeroflot representatives boarded the aircraft to try to calm down the 300 passengers.

One sought to reassure them by announcing that it was 'not such a big deal' if the pilot was drunk because the aircraft practically flew itself." continued
