As for how they treat Americans elsewhere, just look at what was done to the Travolta family after their young son's death in the Bahama's or the Holloway's in Aruba, then ask yourself why the hell anyone in today's opportunistic criminal world you would want to visit one of these islands in the first place is beyond me? Go to Hawaii or Florida and vacation on American soil with Americans if the topical paradise thing appeals to your sensibilities.
If a star get's extorted when their son dies imagine what they do to normal peeons when they can get away with it...
Every time something bad occurs your on your on your own in these places, and that should be more evident today after Holloway's murder and disposal than anytime.
The Travolta's were allegedly being extorted for 20 million dollars by a crooked government official (oxymoron if there ever was one, crooked and government official) who was also supposedly a friend of the family. With friends like that, you know the rest of that one I'm sure......
What can one find there that can't be found right here in the reasonable safety of your own beautiful seaboards and country instead of having a crisis in a hellhole like poor Natalie Holloway and her family and now Travolta's had in these disease and drug infested backwards islands. Resort spots who suck off Americans and then piss all over them when they get the chance, even ones as nice as the Travolta's, who went out of their ways to be kind to these native animals in the Bahama's and this is what they get in return.
Screw these people I say, they can take their so called island paradises and sell 'em to Gilligan and the Skipper too, the Millionaire and his wife, the movie star etc etc/we can get that treatment right here at home in some of our most unfriendly urban liberal hellholes, why go on vacation to get the same treatment when troubles arise if they do?
Nature of Alleged Extortion Plot Against John Travolta a Mystery as Lawmaker Resigns
FOXNews.com -The nature of the alleged extortion plot against actor John Travolta following the death of his son remained a mystery Saturday as news came that a Bahamas lawmaker resigned after her arrest.
Travolta filed a complaint of attempted extortion, but authorities did not reveal details of the allegations.
The plot was related to the circumstances surrounding Jett Travolta's death and photos weren't involved, TMZ reported Saturday.
Former Sen. Pleasant Bridgewater resigned Saturday, saying she is innocent but needs to fight what she calls "untrue and unfair charges."
Police arrested her Thursday on charges of abetment to extort and conspiracy to extort. She was released Friday on $40,000 bail.
Bridgewater on Saturday called the ordeal a "nightmare" and said her "innocent actions" as an attorney were misconstrued. She did not provide details.
Police also detained an ambulance driver, Tarino Lightbourne, and a former tourism minister and friend of the Travoltas, Obie Wilchcombe, who has since been released.
The actor and his wife Kelly Preston returned home to Florida with the ashes of their 16-year-old son. Travolta's publicist Paul Bloch said Friday that Travolta has no comment. more on this story from TMZ.com.
