CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Gov. Blagojevich and Operation Board Games: "Governor Blagojevich was unsuccessful at trying to sell the vacant Illinois Senate seat, federal prosecutors say.
But that hasn't stopped other people from trying to seal the deal.
'Xthehaunting' is offering 'Obama¹s Illinois Senate Seat' on Ebay.
In his ad, he describes the seat in Blagojevich¹s own words, according to the federal complaint released Tuesday: 'It's a (expletive) valuable thing, you just don't give it away for nothing.'
At 2:30 p.m., bids were up to $99,999,999.99.
The seller, 22-year-old Eastern Illinois University student Jason Duarte, said while he can't give you a seat in the senate, he will print out a picture of Blagojevich he got off the Internet for the lucky bidder."
