Nothing makes the pain of losing a child or other loved one nowadays than a few million bucks in the family Bank Account to remember the loved one by. When Opportunity knocks, answer the door say thee especially when in the land of the free.
So after antagonizing and provoking the otherwise normally safely enclosed beautiful animal pictured ab0ve that took exception to the drug and alcohol induced antics of the teen, it leaped over the fence to do what tigers normally do when provoked. Doh........ and now the parents want to cash in this lottery ticket for personal gain to of coarse to "teach zoos around the world a lesson", when in fact it's their stupid dead child who needed the lesson they obviously failed to teach, and the tiger unfortunately taught him one he'll never forget, nor will other doped up idiots who can read who engage in stupid behavior in the future and then expect others to pay the price for their knuckle dragging stupidity.
Only in America.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Paul Dhaliwal, 19, was drunk at the time of the incident, having smoked pot and consumed enough liquor to have a blood-alcohol level above the .08 limit for adult drivers. Kulbir Dhaliwal, 23, also had been drinking and smoking pot around the same time.
In fact, the Dhaliwal brothers involved, friends of the victim were at one time being considered for criminal charges for their stupid behavior. And believe me, I have all the sympathy in the world for parents who lose children, but for them to be rewarded with a free multi million dollar lotto ticket courtesy of a zoo who's only crime here was not anticipating the actions of some south of the border dope smoking idiots actually begging the tiger to attack them when it actually did it's some sort of surprise is itself criminal, and in my view it is they should owe the city for one poor dead tiger after it was euthanized by authorities for doing exactly what? Acting like a damn tiger, that's what.
SF tiger attack victim's family sues city, zoo:
My Way News - "SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - The parents of a 17-year-old killed in a tiger attack at the San Francisco Zoo last Christmas sued the city and the zoo Tuesday.
Marilza and Carlos Sousa filed a wrongful death suit in San Francisco Superior Court almost a year after Carlos Sousa Jr. was killed when a Siberian tiger escaped its enclosure.
The suit claims the enclosure's wall was lower than the recommended national standard and alleges zoo officials ignored employees' warnings that the wall was not tall enough. The family is seeking unspecified damages.
Their lawyer, Michael Cardoza, said the family hopes they can reach a settlement with the zoo. 'It will never bring total closure to this, but it will begin their healing process because they won't have to relive this again through a lawsuit,' he said."
