Obama's Play President Game Makes A Mockery Of The Office

Of coarse liberals will bitch and moan that it's George Bush who's done that but I beg to differ, as this Obama Office Of The President Elect garbage is nothing but that. A little playtime made for TV title he's given himself and his cast of Clinton castoffs to get the news media to pay attention to him instead of the outgoing president who is still in charge of the country. This has gone so far as to Liberal pundits over the weekend to call for Bush to leave early as the minute Obama steps into the White House the world will spin on it's axis and liberals will become normal and worthwhile to listen to for once in a decade.

News Flash you freaks: Obama isn't gonna change a damn thing and you people are all suckers to believe he's powerful enough to do it.

Despite Bells and Whistles, 'Office of President-Elect' Holds No Authority

FOXNews.com Transition Tracker: "President-elect Barack Obama is looking very presidential these days. When he makes an announcement, he is ringed by American flags and stands behind a lectern that has a very presidential-looking placard announcing 'The Office of the President-Elect.'

But the props are merely that. Under the Constitution, there is no such thing as the Office of the President-elect. Technically, Obama will not even become the president-elect until the Electoral College convenes after the second Wednesday in December and elects him based on the results of the Nov. 4 general election, as stated in the Constitution.

So what is Obama's executive authority in the weeks leading to Jan. 20?

In the 11 weeks between Election Day and Inauguration Day, the next president must ensure a smooth transition by selecting political appointees to manage key agencies and offices within the Executive Branch, and by creating the policies that will define the new administration -- all while respecting the authority held by the current president."
Yeah right, so creating this romper room looking side shadow presidency for a month is respecting the authority of the current president? Gimme a break...

Speaking of nuttiness, why doesn't King Obama strip about 2 million off the 4 million plus costs for his ridiculously garish and overcooked Inaugural crap? Somebody ask him why in these hardest of financial times he calls the worst in America's history call for the most expensive Inauguration day in history. Here's change for ya, tickets going for $2300 a piece, sure lot's of little people are going to afford that chump change in these times huh?

The security alone for Obama fest is gonna break the back of Washington DC for security alone, doesn't king Obama realize this as the neww president he can't run down to the local Y anymore and shoots hoops with the brothers or fill stadiums every time he makes a speech for sycophantic freak followers? I don't think he get's it, ask DC right now...

Soaring costs for inauguration could break the bank for D.C

www.dcexaminer.com >> Local News: "Soaring costs expected to accompany huge crowds in town for the Jan. 20 inauguration of Barack Obama could stick cash-strapped Washington, D.C., with a record-breaking bill for services.

Security and capacity measures recommended by the District’s congressional delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton and others will almost certainly surpass the $15 million the federal government gives to the District each year to defray the cost of events, Norton said.

In 2005, with an estimated 300,000 in attendance, the second inauguration of President Bush cost the city more than $17 million, some of which was reimbursed with federal funds. This year, officials estimate nearly five times that many people for the swearing in of President-elect Barack Obama.

This is change? All everyone is left with is change will be more like it, blamed on George Bush of coarse.
