Besides seeing two senators doing what they do best and no presidents ont he stage, the debate last night to me proved two things and only two things;
(a) If McCain gets elected, then this country is indeed in some deep trouble athough I love the guy and have already voted for him...however
(b) If "That One", Obama, gets elected, we're really up shit's river without a motor, and it is as simple as that. Just as McCain has had a long time to pile on Obama with legitimate arguments that we bloggers have been making all year long, one's that have yet to or never will see the light of day through their Obama Excrement colored glasses, Obama has yet to give one legitimate answer or solution to any single half tough question or problem, not a single one and never will.
Why should he when he doesn't have to ? Who would?
I am so disappointed this morning after witnessing that event, as we saw what was supposed to be the best our media has to offer, retired legend Tom "Bwokaw" who looked an sounded just like that, a retired legend also tired of paddling Obama's boat to nowhere for him, as the media has been doing all summer long without a single break. Anyone can tell you it get's tiring shoveling shi* all day and night as they have to do to protect and disguise their drenched behind the ears candidate. The one who was essentially still reading from his teleprompter in theory since all the questions last night he's heard and danced around a thousand times before as we sat and watch time and time again.
As for McCain, if he says "My Friends" one more frigging time I'm gonna f'ng explode, truthfully. I actually started the debate with a note fired off to the Obama campaign as I do all the time telling them if he says this phrase more than 3 times all night he will lose the election.
Well,after counting 7 times in the first thirty minutes, one occurrence twice in the same sentence I basically started resigning myself to the fact that one of these boobs is going to drag this country right down into the abyss of which we sit perched very uncomfortably on the ledge as I typoe adn you read.
We my friends are screwed either way, McCain is obviously the best placeholder we have available to us and if he does manage t o get elected I think Sarah Palin had better be a better study than the exceptional one she has been thus far as she may be the next republican nominee and should spend those four years acting as such.
If Obama gets elected th is country will sink into a depression unlike the last because of the magnitude of our population today and the rest of the world will go right down the tubes with us as they all blame George Bush for all their problems with phrases like 'Had I known before hand this was in such bad shape, " or "how could anyone fix this mess he created" and so on.
As I said, we're all screwed" and we have no one but ourselbves to nblame for lettign this man and boy be our choices after the others we had less than a year ago adn thanks to the failure of Americans to take the primaries seriously enough on the right and the rigged process on the left we have two duds at the most critical time we've faced in over 100 years.
Analysis: Obama, McCain defy stereotypes indebate:
My Way News - "NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain tried to rectify perceived shortcomings and played against type at key moments in Tuesday's presidential debate, but neither seemed to change a campaign dynamic that favors Obama for now.
McCain, the anti-tax conservative, proposed the night's only new government program: a $300 billion plan to help beleaguered homeowners, which might have made Franklin Roosevelt proud.
And Obama, the supposed neophyte on foreign policy, chided the older Navy veteran for his flippant remarks about Iran, forcing McCain into a somewhat sheepish explanation.
While the two nominees challenged each other testily at times, there was no mention of Bill Ayers or Charles Keating, whose long-past transgressions have fueled bitter accusations between the two camps in recent days. And despite the economic crisis rocking the nation, the debate became far livelier when it switched from domestic to foreign issues - much like their first debate 11 days ago."
