Michelle Malkin Retells An Old Tale With New Players, And It's We They Played Like Fiddles

Michelle has a cute little update of the Ant and The Grasshopper which is in all likelihood a mystery to today's crowd of Americans under , oh I say 30? "Aesop's Fables, what are those mommy and mommy, or daddy and Uncle Sue?" can be heard all over breakfast tables at McDonald's' and Burger Kings across the country nowadays I'm sure were that question put to today's many poor, misguided children.

But no fable like that one is more pertinent to the massive bailout of Wall Street's former biggies proposed by they and their flunkies in Washington that thankfully John McCain went back to keep an eye on instead of wasting his time schooling Barack Hussein on National Security since the MSM will anoint him the loser anyway, why bother.

Barack Hussein has the nerve to talk about multi tasking? That empty suit and brain hasn't even mastered one single full time job in his entire life, NOT A ONE!! And as that old saying goes modified just in his case, Jerk Of All Trades, Master Of None" describes Obama more to a "T'" than anyone I've ever known. And as far as the American voters go out there, my feeling is if you don't know who your voting for by now after all this Obama crud up to our necks for over 2 years, do us all a favor and stay the *** home, that day and every day if you would please, or buy yourself a 12 gauge and some shells.

Meanwhile the educated and dedicated decision makers of this country can read this little commentary which is definitely worth the free minutes spent doing so.

The Ant and The Grasshopper, 2008 Edition

Michelle Malkin :: Townhall.com :: : "With what looks like imminent passage of the Mother of All Bailouts (following on the heels of a year's worth of government-funded rescues of private homeowners, lenders, insurers and automakers), Washington has turned Aesop's famous fable about prudence and hard work on its head. The time is ripe for a revised 2008 edition of 'The Ant and the Grasshopper:'

In a meadow on a hot summer's day, a Grasshopper was chirping and carousing his time away. He watched scornfully as an Ant nearby struggled to store up large kernels of food and build a secure nest. The Ant pulled overtime shifts to pay off his loans and accumulate retirement funds for the future.

'Give it a rest,' the Grasshopper said. 'Why bother saving and slaving and toiling and moiling? Let's party!' The Ant demurred: 'I am planning ahead for winter, and you should do the same.' The Grasshopper blew off the Ant, squandered his supplies the rest of the season and abandoned his home while on vacation (paid for by tapping every last cent of his home equity gain) instead of holding down a job.

When winter came, the Grasshopper's pantry was empty, and his shelter ruined from neglect. The Ant, weary from planting, harvesting, and stocking up for months, was dining comfortably i"

Cold, hungry, jobless, facing foreclosure and up to his two pairs of eyeballs in debt, the Grasshopper limped to the Association of Community Winged Insects for Rescue Now and demanded recourse. The office was swamped with thousands just like him. ACWIRN immediately put the Grasshopper to work registering dead ants as new voters.

Funded with tax dollars from the rest of the meadow's residents, ACWIRN organized mass protests at the Bank of Antamerica, ambushed its top officials at their private homes, harassed their children and demanded that the meadow's politicians halt all foreclosures ("We must keep Grasshoppers in their houses!") and outlaw discriminatory lending practices against starving, homeless Grasshoppers ("Well-stocked shelters are basic insect rights!")

The banking industry capitulated; the Orthoptera Lobby secured hundreds of millions of dollars in housing earmarks, grants and counseling subsidies to support the Grasshoppers with the shadiest credit and employment histories. Antie Mae, the meadow's government-backed home lending giant, fueled the push for increased insect homeownership in the name of biodiversity. Its executives cooked the books and headed for the hills. Katie Cricket and the Mainstream Meadow Media joined the grievance-for-profit circus, profiling Grasshopper sob stories and drumming up ratings as bewildered Ants wondered who was looking out for them.

The banks drowned in toxic debt. More Grasshoppers fell behind on their mortgage payments. Bailout mania and panic gripped the meadow.

Our little Ant, minding his own business, heard a knock on his door one late winter night a year later. It was his old, sneering Grasshopper neighbor. With ACWIRN's presidential candidate, Barack Cicada, now in office, the Grasshopper had been hired by the meadow as a tax collector.

"I'm here to take your provisions," the Grasshopper cackled.

But it was the Ant who had the last laugh. "I've learned my lesson," he told his shiftless friend. "Why bother saving and slaving and toiling and moiling? I've spent all my savings. I'm walking away from my mortgage. Thrift is for suckers," the Ant said as he headed out the door, leaving the Grasshopper empty-handed
The Democratic Friends Of Angelo Rode High on Countrywide, Freddie and Fannie.

The truth needs to be told now and loud

Here this morning I am republishing some stuff from June on the now surely devastating rehash of old the news regarding Countrywide Mortgage and the scandals there involving all the dems that are now audaciously blaming republicans as fast as they can point finger, which now becomes very pertinent to this week's collapse at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Especially when one considers that the democrats are trying to blame the entire fiasco on republicans. The evidence now shows and proves without a doubt the crisis started during Clinton's administration and a program at Countrywide Called Friends of Angelo;

Angelo Mozilo
The Countrywide C.E.O., a son of a Bronx butcher who co-founded the company in 1969, okayed a little-known program at the company that waived points, lender fees, and company borrowing rules for prominent people. Read the story here

There is more information about this angle of the meltdown that back in June didn't seem all that important back then, nothing unusual other than many democrats cashing in on large low point or zero point mortgages and loans, you remember , Chris Dodd, Tony Rezco adn his Buddy, a guy named Hussein Obama and a cast of others covered back then by Captain Ed at Hot Air:
The Democratic Friends of Angelo:

Hot Air » Blog Archive » "Barack Obama has tried to score serious populist mileage from the subprime meltdown, explicitly naming Countrywide Financial as one of the villains of the economic turbulence caused by the credit crisis. Unfortunately, one of his own advisers had to resign as a result; Jim Johnson got millions in sweetheart loan deals from Countrywide CEO Angelo Mozilo under a “Friends of Angelo” program that coincidentally favored the powerful and the politically connected. Today, Conde Nast reveals a few more of Angelo’s friends — and Obama may have to find another villain quickly:" good stuff here continued
Pretty easy to connect all the dots here, and if America gets full wind of this scandalous information we in the blogosphere have been talking about since June the Democrats will be run out of Washington on a railwith Obama riding in the caboose.
