Emil Jones, looking to slide his son right into his senate seat as we talked about last week is the man entirely responsible for the rise of the Obama star and the two of them are thick as thieves as the saying goes.
Here's a little quote from a Vanity Fair article recently below the picture that describes the power grubbing duo to a "t" planning Obama's rise to the Senate seat he used to hopscotch to the presidential race after a mere year in Washington which in actual work time amounts to about 3 months .
Obama is neck deep in the slime of Chicago's machine and he'll have a lot of favors being called if he finds himself on Pennsylvania Avenue you can bet, a lot of favors for guys like Emil Jones, Jeremiah Wright, Richard Daley, Bobby Rush, William Ayers etc etc....

“After I was elected president, in 2003, he came to see me, a couple months later,” Jones recalled, relishing the tale. “And he said to me, he said, ‘You’re the senate president now, and with that, you have a lot of pow-er.’ ” Jones stretched out the word, as if savoring the pleasure of it, and his voice became very quiet as he continued: “And I told Barack, ‘You think I got a lot of pow-er now?,’ and he said, ‘Yeah, you got a lot of pow-er.’ (looks like a childish kid in a candy store here kicking back in his fixed up patriotic office with the obligatory Lincoln photo on the wall)
And I said, ‘What kind of pow-er do I have?’ He said, ‘You have the pow-er to make a United States sen-a-tor!’ ” Jones let out a soft, smoky laugh. “I said to Barack, I said, ‘That sounds good!’ I said, ‘I haven’t even thought of that.’ I said, ‘Do you have someone in mind you think I could make?,’ and he said, ‘Yeah. Me.’
There you go, Barack Obama in a nutshell, a power hungry activist who's skids have been greased by the slimiest and scuzziest Chicago politics has to offer, and he's just another one of the boy's and anyone believing that Obama is an agent of change is a sucker of the worst order.
Chicago's black politicians building own dynasties:
My Way News - "CHICAGO (AP) - In a city where the mayor holds the same job his father once did, politics can seem little different from the years of the legendary Democratic Machine. But the faces of political privilege - long dominated by white ethnic groups - have changed as powerful black politicians use their clout to build new dynasties. The next in a long line of successions has been set in motion by Illinois Senate President Emil Jones, one of Barack Obama's first political mentors, who in announcing his retirement this week made it clear he wants his son to take his seat. It's the latest twist on the 'it's our turn' catch-phrase popular when Chicago elected its first black mayor in 1983, said Laura Washington, a professor at Chicago's DePaul University.'It also means it's our turn to be as corrupt and irresponsible to the democratic process as their white predecessors have been,' said Washington, who also is a Chicago Sun-Times columnist." continued
