The World Is A More Miserable Place Today

Today we've lost a great American and a beloved member of the wide encompassing conservative family as beloved journalist and TV/Radio host extraordinaire Tony Snow succumbed to the wicked monster known as cancer that he had bravely battled for the last year of his too short life.

The saying gets overused but it applies to Mr Snow when one reflects that only the good seem to die young, as anyone who ever met this man as far as I've ever read and heard while he was alive held him in the highest of esteem and respect as a true friend to those so lucky to call him such, an excellent co worker with integrity and core values beyond reproach, first and foremost of all a great father and husband to his family.

As is often the case with many tv and radio personalities, particularly with we conservatives and our favorite talk radio hosts we feel a kinship of these people getting to call in and be treated as equals to them, as I myself even spoke to Tony Snow briefly on the Don and Roma Show once a few years back as he held a regular guest spot on their Friday shows until his own Fox radio show began, heard on WLS radio here in Chicago. So I feel today as if I have lost a friend of sorts as the whole conservative movement who loved him to death feels I'm sure.

We have definitely lost one of our true giants and great conservative advocates, and sadly his often soothing, comforting and neighborly voice is now silenced forever to the world's detriment..

May God bless his family in this time of sorrow and may he rest in peace.

Alternately and somewhat regretfully I must bring up the unforgettable and unforgivable incidents that occurred upon his diagnosis displayed by the miserable of the most miserable mopes on the left, a true symbol of how despicable the liberals can be to people in pain and even dying as was the case with Mr Snow. If your unfamiliar with of which I speak you can read hear for yourself what those slugs had to say at that time here and here.

So from this conservative and speaking for this one only, today my wish is that all those pathetic heartless liberals who took so much pleasure in his cancer diagnosis a while back rot in hell if indeed they even get in there, hopefully suffering the very same miserably painful life as well as death as they hoped and wished upon Mr. Snow. A real gem and genuinely lovable person who never had a bad word for anyone in his public and from what we all have heard over and over from his many friends even in his private life who they hated so much.

Report: Ex-Bush spokesman Tony Snow dies of cancer:

My Way News - "WASHINGTON (AP) - Tony Snow, a conservative writer and commentator who cheerfully sparred with reporters in the White House briefing room during a stint as President Bush's press secretary, has died of colon cancer, Fox News reported Saturday. Snow was 53 years old.

Snow, who served as the first host of the television news program 'Fox News Sunday' from 1996 to 2003, would later say that in the Bush administration he was enjoying 'the most exciting, intellectually aerobic job I'm ever going to have.'"

"Snow was working for Fox News Channel and Fox News Radio when he replaced Scott McClellan as press secretary in May 2006 during a White House shake-up. Unlike McClellan, who came to define caution and bland delivery from the White House podium, Snow was never shy about playing to the cameras.

With a quick-from-the-lip repartee, broadcaster's good looks and a relentlessly bright outlook - if not always a command of the facts - he became a popular figure around the country to the delight of his White House bosses.

He served just 17 months as press secretary, a tenure interrupted by his second bout with cancer. In 2005 doctors had removed his colon and he began six months of chemotherapy. In March 2007 a cancerous growth was removed from his abdominal area and he spent five weeks recuperating before returning to the White House." continued

Here are my archived writings about Tony Snow and that issue mentioned above in the post I wrote about extensively should you care to read them..
