Firstly, I do know and believe there are surely many many more of these kind and caring folks out there but are simply shamed and intimidated into silence by America haters who maintain that it's highly uncool and unacceptable to be patriotic and grateful citizens. Not to mention that most of what comes to America today comes here illegally and with a large tortilla chip on their shoulders with their hands out fully extended from the get go, acting as if this country and it's legal citizenry owes them and the rest of the world something or another, when in fact it's the other way around and they damn well know it.
Posted below is a recent speech from a refreshing face and voice, a real throwback type character similar to the millions of European immigrants that arrived through one entry port called Ellis Island in the shadows of the great Statue of Liberty that flooded the New World for just a simple chance at a better life than what they faced in Europe.

THAT IS ONLY A CHANCE OF A BETTER LIFE!!
NOT A GUARANTEED ONE, LIKE THE NEW STYLED ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS AND SOCIALIST LIBERALS OF TODAY SEEM TO THINK AMERICA OWES THEM AND THEIR FAMILIES OF MANY.

That short nine minute speech was given at a recent John McCain event from a of comical and grateful LEGAL immigrant, one who is emblematic of why America always welcomes all legal immigrants with open arms and always has, and what they do indeed bring to our unique country.
The type of hungry self reliant go getter entrepreneurs that make it a truly specially unique and well intentioned melting pot since it's inception, with of coarse the glaring exception of the truly regretted racial hell it was for both the American Indians and then African Americans for far too long.
One thing commonly overlooked when pointing to slavery and the ethnic cleansing of the Native Indians however is that history tells us each and every newly arriving ethnic group that entered the new America through the past 230 years went through a very similar yet albeit much shorter and less brutal period of societal hazing and outright discrimination obviously short of the outright inhumane killing of both those groups. From The Jews to the Italians, on to the Irish and The Germans as the list goes on and on even through today, inevitably all groups of peoples here in America and everywhere else on the planet for that matter have been dumped upon and mistreated to some degree or another, all of them.
However, in the entire history of mankind the infant America's transgressions have only been a tiny fraction of that duration that Europe, Africa and Asia have experienced for thousands of years through today, so the phenomenal progress made here in America in just 200 short years has by far surpassed any other country in the world as far as equality and acceptance goes and is quite an admirable accomplishment I believe.
I know this firsthand as do many 2nd and 3rd generation Americans, as my family originally emigrated from Italy paternally and Germany maternally in the opening years of the 20th century 1905 and 07 to be precise.
As God celebrating immigrant catholic Italians they/we were then and in smaller ways today openly stereotyped as mostly oily haired, pasta eating, gold wearing Guido like Soprano's style criminals as a rule of thumb, and yes in some ways deservedly so I'll be the first to admit as most stereotypes are often rooted in some truths. And despite the roadblocks presented to them they successfully endured the segregation and persecution in the infamous Hell's Kitchen area of New York city, and with seemingly endless hard work coupled with much hope and dogged perseverance they all became well educated and productive Americans through and through for over 100 years now, as did the maternal German side of the family who likewise suffered the same miserable 3rd class treatment as new proud Americans.
New thoroughly poor Americans who had no government provided welfare, unemployment nor health insurance to fall back on or like today simply kick back and live on quite comfortably like the poor masses travel here for today, the World Class Welcome Wagon treatment for the destitute. Particularly when one compares life in so called poverty here to the rest of the world's poor populations, those who would swim the Atlantic if they could to get a small taste of, who are not lucky enough through geography to just run jump or swim the southern border into America, land of the free alright, free for everyone but native born Americans that is.
That when American life was literally miserable to completely unbearable for almost the entire nation from coast to coast, no matter how wealthy, poor nor what color or creed they were, they all collectively suffered as one Nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all (almost) and yet as a nation eventually recovered through the Great Depression of the 1920's to the most prosperous and wonderful times in the country's short life span.
A struggling period of our history a world away from today's minor recession the media has been wishing into existence that today's young citizens probably know absolutely nothing about I'm sure, as they are all far too busy in school today being indoctrinated with classes like "Today's Open Gay Culture For All" along with "IPOD repair 101" followed by the ever popular "A Thousand Uses for a Condom" taught by the bi-sexual Phys Ed teacher who wears both a skirt and a jock strap.
They then finish the day with a hand holding Kum Ba Yah offering called "The World Is One" teaching how to be more understanding of other cultures and religions, even if they blow up buildings with jetliners while chanting Allah Akbar and wishing they and their countrymen dead, all the while getting in touch with their sensitive sides.!!!
Particularly through WW I and WWII where both my grandfathers fought as new Americans and soldiers against their own homelands to liberate Europe as proud U.S. citizens as I'm sure most of yours did as well.
This as opposed to the now seemingly endless stream of America hating freeloaders and others degenerates of all makes and models per se who are only here to drain and take just as much as they possibly can without having to give back squat along the way as far as they're concerned.
As if our great bounty and opportunity in comparison to the rest of the world here is somehow free for the taking when we all know freedom is anything but free.
