In Iraq The Name Hussein Is Like Jones is Here ....

Who woulda thought a man named Hussein would be tied to the Iraqi insurgency? Especially one working for the AP who happens to be on the scene of bombings as they are taking place. My guess is he isn't the only insurgent sympathizer on the payroll at AP judging by many of the enemy slanted stories and pictures coming from they and their competition at Reuters during the war.

Well at least someone finally figured it out and this Hussein will stay in an Iraqi jail that he's been locked up in since 2006 awaiting trial by Iraqi authorities of some sort.

News photographer in Iraq accused of insurgent ties

Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell and other U.S. military officials would not say directly what charges he faced. They referred reporters to the Iraqi court system." continued

Bomb kills Iraqi children gathered around U.S. troops

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- A roadside bomb killed three Iraqi children and injured seven as they gathered around American troops handing out toys on Sunday, police and government officials told CNN.

A bomb killed three children and injured seven, including this child, whose face is obscured to hide his identity.

Three U.S.soldiers were also killed in the explosion in Baquba, north of Baghdad, a police official said.

Other insurgent attacks on Sunday hit a government security convoy and an Iraqi military academy, officials said. continued
