They love to play the "hate the American mercenary" angle of this story as the soldier of fortune idea provides them all with good photoshop material and fodder for their communist leaning, enemy supporting blogs on that side of the argument. These contractors from Blackwater are no different than the military personnel as most every one is a previous soldier within the framework of world of security and provide the military much assistance as they run security for all the diplomats and politicians traveling in and around the war zone freeing the soldiers for their all important missions from day to day.
True they fall under a gray area in regards to the law which is now being addressed seeing that there aren't laws covering every situation, particularly in a lawless frontier like Iraq can be at times. They also are dealing with enemies that have no regard for law and order as well. Remember Fallujah anyone? I do.
Anyone like the left that condoned this activity deserves nothing less themselves in a fair world, however our side doesn't comport themselves in this barbaric animalistic manner ever, where the enemy does it daily to Americans and Iraqi's.
Without their presence, the difficult rebuilding efforts would be nearly impossible as they also provide the security for business men and their contingents inside Iraq as well . It's a war zone for cripes sake, what do people expect this to be like, Detroit? Oh wait, many there could use Blackwater's services too since more murders are committed in America than Iraq yearly and daily for that matter.
They like all men and women making split second life determining decisions appear to have done just that and they are not running from the reality of this terrible mistake and are being adequately reprimanded it appears through this latest determination. And as far as I'm concerned, they are all doing a fine job there under unexplainable conditions, ones that most humans including myself are too scared and selfish to even attempt at performing dealing with inhuman scum in th form of Al Queda that does things like this to the contractors over there quite often
Blackwater Killings Unjustified
My Way News - Report: : "WASHINGTON (AP) - A Blackwater Worldwide spokeswoman says the company supports 'stringent accountability' for any wrongdoing in the wake of a New York Times report that federal investors have found that the shooting deaths of at least 14 Iraqi civilians by Blackwater guards in Baghdad nearly two months ago violated rules of deadly force.
The Times cited unidentified civilian and military officials in reporting for Wednesday's editions that the killings of at least 14 of the 17 Iraqi civilians shot by Blackwater personnel guarding a U.S. Embassy convoy were unjustified and violated standards in place governing the use of deadly force. Responding to the Times report, Anne Tyrrell, a Blackwater spokeswoman, said the company 'supports the stringent accountability of the industry.
If it is determined that one person was complicit in the wrongdoing, we would support accountability in that. The key people in this have not spoken with investigators.'" continued
