Looks like that dreaded "Curse of the Bambino" is dead and buried forever in ol' Boston. There's no better place to be for sports fans right now than that city boasting the Sox, the Patriots and the Celtics, who are getting ready to turn it up soon, and the Patriots are simply dominating in the AFC this year as well at 7-0 along with Indianapolis .
**Our blogging friend at A Newt One reminds me I left out Boston College's Eagles who are also having a good year so far undefeated so far, ranked number 2 for 2 weeks in a row in AP's top 25 and BCS rankings.
Something rare there since the Flutie days that Matt Ryan has revived with his play this year, particularly after the VA Tech win this past weekend.
I say Good for them all as they spent many years in that city suffering like we Chicago fans have for decades as well, believe me on that one.
So again, following the Red Sox win in 2004 it was the White Sox in 2005, so I say bring on next year! lol

MLB - - Yahoo! SportsSunday October 28, 2007 : "DENVER (AP) -- There's a new monster in baseball, and this one's in Boston, too. Overwhelming in every way, the Red Sox swept to their second title in four years Sunday night. Jon Lester, Mike Lowell & Co. left little room for drama with a 4-3 win over the Colorado Rockies in Game 4. Then again, no NL team could have blocked Boston this October. This was hardly a repeat from 2004, when the Red Sox ended their 86-year championship drought by beating St. Louis. Boston is a major league bully these days, playing in rarefied air before crowds who demand to win.
'It doesn't get old,' manager Terry Francona said."continued
