PC Police Again Push The Limits of Americans Patience

Now it's come to the removal of a ceremony from funerals for the military because of only a few if not just one it seems complainer(s) who's right to not be offended trumps the rights of the other 99.9999999% that aren't offended by the age old tradition.

That of folding the flag 13 times along with a narrative that goes with this practice that now has to be done by the individual family hiring a group of military honor guards to perform the ceremony for them if they wish to have it?

What's next, removal of God from the bible and funerals all together because some idiot is offended by it?
Furor After Flag-Folding Ceremony Pulled From Cemeteries -

FOXNews.com - "A group of congressmen has asked the Department of Veterans Affairs to reconsider its ban on the flag-folding ceremony at military funerals after the agency decided last month to streamline burials at federal cemeteries. 'The flag folding recitation is a longstanding tradition which brings comfort to the living and honor to the deceased,' Rep. Heath Shuler, D-N.C., writes in his letter Tuesday signed by 11 other congressmen. 'The recitations accompanying each fold pay tribute to the service and sacrifice of our veterans and their families, the nation they proudly serve, and the beliefs that they hold dear.'" continued

Duncan Hunter issued a statement today demanding this PC police state ruling be ditched immediately and resume the funerals and this ceremony as is. Where are the Democratic candidates statements on this one you ask? There are none, yet.

They're undoubtedly sticking their fingers in the wind and do some polling as well, waiting to see what side they jump in on if at all on behalf of irate Veterans apparently.

HUNTER CONDEMNS FLAG-FOLDING RECITATION BAN

Washington, D.C.-Hunters Congressional Website
– Today, U.S. Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-CA), ranking Republican on the House Armed Services Committee, condemned the National Cemetery Administration’s decision to prohibit the recitation of a common flag-folding ceremony at military burials. The ceremony requires that the American flag be folded 13 times while the significance of each fold is recited.

“The National Cemetery Administration’s decision to ban this symbolic and respected tradition is a disservice to anyone who has have ever worn a uniform for this country,” said Congressman Hunter. “The flag folding ceremony serves not only to memorialize the service and sacrifice of those being honored, but also all those who have served in America’s armed forces.

“This decision is completely unjustified and should be reversed immediately. Our veterans deserve nothing less.”

The National Cemetery Administration reportedly changed the flag-folding recitation policy following a complaint at Riverside National Cemetery in California. Specifically, objections were made to one of the many religious references in the ceremony.
