A New Zealand man has an ambulance chasers wet dream there resulting from nothing but blatant medical malpractice and carelessness in New Zealand. This is what happened:
Doctors lose man's false teeth in throat
Yahoo! News: "WELLINGTON, New Zealand - Doctors in New Zealand lost a man's false teeth during his back surgery but found them four days later — stuck in his throat. The 81-year-old entered the hospital in February 2005, and his upper dentures were removed before the operation, a Health and Disability Commission report said Friday."But somehow, the report said, the false teeth got back into the heavily sedated man's mouth. A neurological condition allowed him to cope with having them in his throat for days — though not easily.
After the operation, the patient complained of "extreme pain," nurses noticed his voice was husky and he couldn't eat very much, the report said....
Doctors put a laryngoscope down his throat, found the missing denture plate and removed the teeth. continuedDOH!! Can you say lawsuit? I knew you could.
If the health care industry there is anything like it is now in the United States, it's entirely possible the patient tried telling the doctors and or nurses about this for hours or days, but they couldn't or didn't understand his language or he couldn't understand theirs.
I know one thing, that finding a primarily English speaking nurse or doctor in this country is nearly impossible nowadays, and when they do happen to speak it, it's usually some bastardized "Spanglish" or "Arabish" version of English that you still can't understand, you know what I mean.. Welcome to the new America.
Although I imagine that same problem exists in these other countries as well, as this mostly unwanted immigration exodus from Mexico, South America and the Middle East is a worldwide problem for the most part particularly in the medical fields that staff at almost any cost due to terrible shortages.
