This is the headliner today in the Chicago Sun Times as this woman's trial begins after languishing two years, (alive by the way) in Cook County Jail, who's now gonna try and pout and cry her way through a trial in order to go home and restart her life, this after ending three completely innocent lives one sunny afternoon in suburban Chicago about 5 miles from my home. Not in my world.
Today the Sun Times tries to gain sympathy for the "murderer" by publishing this story along with this picture above as if the fact that she's blonde, beautiful and mentally disturbed should have any bearing on whether not she belongs in jail for life, which she does.
Is this driver a murderer? Now for the sob story, where they try to explain this away by saying she was so distraught at the time, a little boo hoo, some blah blah and more left wing "no personal responsibility" the devil made me do it psycho-drivel.
CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Metro & Tri-State: "The car sped down Dempster Street going at least 70 mph. Jeanette Sliwinski drove the Ford Mustang through three red lights before coming to a final, fatal stop. Instead of killing herself -- as authorities said she was trying to do -- Sliwinski took the lives of three musicians when her car rammed theirs July 14, 2005. Sliwinski, then 23, survived the crash with a broken ankle." continued
Someone out to kill herself by driving recklessly down a busy thoroughfare in the middle of the afternoon, excuse me? Who the hell does such a thing besides someone disturbed? However, at the time it sounded to me and still does like a woman who simply wanted some sympathy and attention at this moment after she hoped a minor car accident, obviously thinking only of herself and not one iota of any ramifications of this inexplicable action on that fateful day. Pretty selfish. Here's more from the SunTimes:
Today, she goes on trial for murder before Judge Garritt Howard at the Cook County courthouse in Skokie.
"How do you punish somebody for being so senseless? Totally senseless," said Paul Dahlquist, father of Michael Dahlquist, one of the three victims.
"That's the part that just totally overwhelms me. What a senseless, irresponsible thing to do," he said.
Sliwinski attended Niles West High School in Skokie, had worked as a model and a stripper, and graduated from Columbia College with a degree in marketing and communications, sources said. continued
And for her we are supposed to feel sorry, a woman with all those great and blessed things going for her compared to many many others with much less that push on day after day .
Feel sorry, not from me.
Furthermore, for anyone else out there who wishes to commit suicide by vehicle, they should use one of these below as they work pretty well at about any speed, much better than the back of an innocent driver's car filled with human beings like this woman did.
