Only after days of being pummeled on the blogs, forums and talk radio that is...The Orlando Sentinal brought the original barrage down on the officer and once Free Republic and other spots got a hold of it that department has put her on leave and now she's suddenly dropping the lawsuit.
To serve and Protect? Not in her book.......and after this bad call her integrity should forever be in question for such bad judgment for even initiating this suit in the first place.

Officer says she will drop suit against family in near drowning --
South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com: "CASSELBERRY - A police sergeant who sued a family with a baby who suffered severe brain damage from a near drowning because the officer slipped and fell in a puddle of water at the house will drop the lawsuit, her attorney said late this afternoon. Attorney David Heil, who represents Casselberry Police Sgt. Andrea Eichhorn, said he plans to file paperwork to that effect as early as Friday." The city also reported today that it has placed Eichhorn on leave.
The police department would not explain why she was removed from duty. In a prepared statement, the department said it did so after a controversy over the suit caused it to review the incident. continued
Sounds to me she must not be able to work and should be scrutinized up and down for any disability payments after this fiasco as it appears the Department is now doing.
