Not the smartest man of the bunch one would have to say, not realizing that he would be uncovered in that fashion in the first place. Then, by denying now he is actually gay, he is in that strange class of Senator Larry Craig, he of the wide bathroom stance, of having to claim he is not gay when accidentally caught acting that way or strangely.
If this man, Monsignor Tommaso Stenico was genuinely engaged in this behavior for those above described reasons, you would think another individual within the church would be alerted to his activity by him for this very reason if he is indeed a heterosexual church member knowing the implications of this behavior.
The strangest part of these cases to me is in the aftermath, when the gay community and the left then ostracizes these individuals for hiding their homosexuality (if indeed they are) instead of embracing them upon the discovery of their sexual preferences. But they only do this whenever it is a church member involved, particularly Catholic, or a republican politician.
More double standard from the left as to them there are good gays and bad gays by that standard, meaning as long as the homosexual isn't a republican or a Christian they are embraced and loved. .
Vatican official insists he's not gay -
Yahoo! News: "VATICAN CITY - A Vatican official suspended after being caught on hidden camera making advances to a young man says he is not gay and was only pretending to be gay as part of his work."In an interview published Sunday, Monsignor Tommaso Stenico told La Repubblica daily he frequented online gay chat rooms and met with gay men as part of his work as a psychoanalyst. He said that he pretended to be gay in order to gather information about "those who damage the image of the Church with homosexual activity." continued
As I alluded to before, were this explanation true then one would think he would have notified others of his intent beforehand to avoid accusations like this from occurring resulting from his little "investigation". Therefore I'm afraid I don't believe him until further explanation and investigations are completed, not that he cares what I think..
