She has made a great living getting them all in a twist over every little thing she writes and says, and the liberals out there seem to have a problem making a distinction between government officials, commentary and columnists thinking that she and Rush and O'Reilly are somehow mouthpieces for the Bush administration.
However not a one of them again can seem to make the distinction between what Tony Snow did up until weeks ago for a living and what they (Rush, Ann, Hannity, etc. ) do. They are what I call "opinionaters", and nothing more than columnists and/or commentators giving their opinions on events from a certain pre disposed angle, no more than I speak for the Bush administration do they nor do they claim to. The only people that claim they do are the left leaning readers.
To the left anyone that has conservative views or a viewpoint to the right of Hugo Chavez is a mouthpiece for the president or the administration when he and they in fact have shown themselves to be more liberal than conservative in most measuring capacities for most conservatives.... ie: government spending and lack of any kind of coherent immigration policy closing the borders to illegals to name two issues that have the conservatives angered at Bush and his policies.
In fact, they criticize the administration as much if not more than most people out there simply because they fortunately have the outlet to do it. One of the biggest "ridiculer's" of this administration is Michael Savage who, pun intended, savages the president daily.
A great example of this unique strain of BDS can be found in the comments section of the following linked review of Anne's latest liberal hater & baiter book, titled somewhat childishly but brilliantly "If Democrats Had Any Brains They'd Be Republicans", which I've already read and would recommend it as it's quite humorous, what it's intended to be. Humor, not policy or a tool of the administration who certainly isn't listening to her or anyone else at this point you can be sure.
Coulter Culture
The New York Observer: "Ann Coulter's new book, If Democrats Had Any Brains They'd Be Republicans, hits bookshelves today, and as is his wont, George Gurley sat down with the self-proclaimed right-wing polemicist for a long chat [UPDATED: read the complete interview here]. George gave us a few bits of wit and wisdom from his interview, while the television is going wild about the beminiskirted babe.
On how much blame Bill Clinton deserves for the terrorist attacks of 9/11: A lot. Jimmy Carter got the whole thing started, Bill Clinton let it build, build, build, build, build. He wouldn't deal with it, because he had no credibility on deploying the military. He was a pot smoking draft dodger, and so when he was presented with credible evidence that this or that country was behind a terrorist attack, he’d just have to look the other way: “No, don't let me hear that. Call in Monica!”"
Just those two little comments from Ann gets the comment section flaming with 1300 plus comments and the libs and conservatives clubbing each others over the head, the libs with talking points and the conservatives with facts, with the conservatives winning that battle in my opinion, formed after reading the first 200 or so.
Some of the comments are the usual liberal staple "Nazi Germany would love Ann", also the tiresome misuse of the Fascist label they still don't comprehend nor understand, as all the usual Democrat Underground & KosKids commenter's are all there in full force displaying their opinions.
