Pretty surprising to see such a low amount for 11 felony charges one would think for a previous double murderer. The justice system can indeed be a bazaar field to walk through for sure. This looks as if OJ is making a deal the way this proceeded with such low bail being set according to many experts also revealing the charges are extremely trumped up. Especially the kidnapping charge.
The other witnesses and defendants have blown this case by all their media interviews and the taping and subsequent release of such along with the checkbook journalism thanks to that slimy website TMZ.
Greta Van Sustern, Geraldo and CBS news got burned badly by a fake attorney presenting himself as OJ's lawyer Tuesday night and this became a big bnone of contention during the hearing this morning.
This to get him to plead to the gross misdemeanor charge and take a year or two in jail, although technically it is illegal for prosecutors to charge anyone with a crime that they cannot attempt to prove they do it all the time, even in low level dui cases.
An example of this would be the obligatory improper lane usage ticket that always accompanies driving under the influence tickets at least here in Illinois .
When OJ goes free blame those greedy slimes and Harvey Levin for it.
$125K Bail Is Agreed to in O.J. Case:
My Way News - "LAS VEGAS (AP) - A judge has arraigned O.J. Simpson in an alleged armed robbery of sports memorabilia collectors and prosecutors have agreed to $125,000 bail."
Simpson says he was trying to retrieve memorabilia that was stolen from him. The charges that could land him in prison for years if convicted.
Security was tight. People entering the courtroom were screened by security officers and Las Vegas police with bomb-sniffing dogs.
Even Marcia Clark was there for some strange reason, probably covering it for some media outlet I guess.
I have to say OJ looked pretty scared sitting there, not his usual swaggering self, eyes very red from some obvious crying it appeared to me and others I just talked to that watched this hearing on the various stations covering this wall to wall. See for yourself.
The case has attracted a swarm of media coverage. Among the reporters Wednesday was Marcia Clark, who unsuccessfully prosecuted Simpson for the 1994 murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman and became a correspondent for "Entertainment Tonight."
Simpson has been held since Sunday in protective custody in a 7-foot-by-14-foot cell. His lawyer, Yale Galanter, planned to seek the former football star's release on Wednesday and request no bail.
"These are very serious charges. He is taking it very seriously," Galanter told NBC. continued
