In todays' celebrity worship culture and environment I am a believer that many people will do nearly anything for fame and fortune, and this would be a clever harmless little scheme to get a tremendous amount of pre-pageant publicity to raise ones visibility and name recognition along with some sympathy that goes a a long way too. Just a thought or two.
MISS N.J. CALLS BLACKMAILER 'MISERABLE PERSON'
New York News | New York City News | NY News: "July 9, 2007 -- Miss New Jersey Amy Polumbo called whoever is trying to force her to drop out of the beauty pageant a “miserable person” on the Today show this morning.
Polumbo, who was crowned Miss New Jersey last month and claims someone is trying to blackmail her with relatively tame photos lifted from a private Web page, insists that she has no idea who might have assembled the packages sent last week.
“I really don’t know,” she said. “Whoever this is, I think they are a miserable person and I really feel bad for them.”
Polumbo doubts a relative or friend would want her our of the upcoming pageant and hopes the alleged blackmailer isn’t another contestant." read more
This is too strange and there's no motive for anyone to do this to her, why not blackmail her during the pageant itself of at a more opportune time if one ws going to do do. It's somebody she is in cahoots with to gain publicity and this will quietly disappear miraculously before the pageant, WATCH AND SEE....
