A Pew Research poll released today, which for the most part I roundly ignore on most subjects, indicates that while there are many Muslim extremists to be found around the world, America is not really the place. Of coarse that really doesn't mean a whole lot, because statistically in any ethnic or religious group on the whole you will find the level of radical extremism to be rather low.
More specifically the poll asks U.S. Muslims who approves and disapproves of suicide bombing or bombers. (graphic photos warning), also here and here. (Who the he** in their right mind would approve of such a thing as this anyways?)
And as we all know, no matter what the polls say, it only takes 1 - 19 rabblesrousers and troublemakers to bring down 2 - 110+ story buildings and part of the pentagon with 4 hijacked airliners and kill 3000 people.
So what exactly does this poll mean and does it's released results hope to accomplish?
To me, it's simply planted MSM propaganda encouraged by the Muslim public relations groups and firms (ie CAIR) to fluff up the image of Islam and Muslims, plain and simple. One easy rule of thumb I use and adhere to when it come to terrorism is as follows: Not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslims.
(please save me the comment that always appears from that lone left winger claiming "what about Timothy McVeigh? He was a terrorist!) I say, who gives a damn about Timothy McVeigh, the one and only exception to the rule? I don't.
Most U.S. Muslims Reject Suicide Bombings:
My Way News "WASHINGTON (AP) - One in four younger U.S. Muslims say suicide bombings to defend their religion are acceptable at least in some circumstances, though most Muslim Americans overwhelmingly reject the tactic and are critical of Islamic extremism and al-Qaida, a poll says.
The survey by the Pew Research Center, one of the most exhaustive ever of the country's Muslims, revealed a community that in many ways blends comfortably into society. Its largely mainstream members express nearly as much happiness with their lives and communities as the general public does, show a broad willingness to adopt American customs, and have income and education levels similar to others in the U.S.
Even so, the survey revealed noteworthy pockets of discontent.
While nearly 80 percent of U.S. Muslims say suicide bombings of civilians to defend Islam can not be justified, 13 percent say they can be, at least rarely." read more
