Try your little protesting reindeer games down in Venezuela for a day or two and see what it gets you. You all speak of the supposedly atrocious US government and president yet embrace this loon. Well this article below demonstrates what happens to people who protest their favorite privately TV station now being taken over and then closed down by Chavez and his ever expanding dictorial government.
What do you think happens to them when they come out in the streets against Chavez and his policies or speak ill of him in public as you folks get away with in this country denigrating the president as is done to death by the left? It isn't just the simple little water cannon treatment s shown here that you can bet.
By the way, this Freedom of speech they (the left) hide behind constantly is provided to sadly all Americans, even the ones that don't appreciate it or consistently abuse it, via the US soldiers both of the past and present that they honor by disrupting memorial day services in their remembrance and other wonderful left wing activities that show their claims of support to be hollow and ludicrous.
Troops Fire Upon Protesters in Venezuela:
My Way News - "CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) - National Guard troops fired tear gas and rubber bullets Monday into a crowd of protesters angry over a decision by President Hugo Chavez that forced a critical television station off the air.
University students blocked one lane of a major highway hours after Radio Caracas Television ceased broadcasting at midnight and was replaced with a new state-funded channel. Chavez had refused to renew RCTV's broadcast license, accusing it of 'subversive' activities and of backing a 2002 coup against him." read more
Chavez Defends Decision on TV Station
Breitbart CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) - President Hugo Chavez defended his decision not to renew the license of a popular opposition-aligned television network on Tuesday and warned he might crack down on another critical TV station, accusing it of trying to incite attempts on his life.Chavez said his refusal to renew the license of Radio Caracas Television, which went off the air at midnight Sunday, is "a sovereign, legitimate decision in which there is no argument."
He said the remaining opposition-sided channel Globovision had encouraged attempts on his life and warned that if it wants "to continue calling for disobedience, inciting assassination ... I'm going to warn them before the nation... I recommend they take a tranquilizer, that they slow down, because if not, I'm going to slow them down." more
