N.Y. Police Spied Broadly Before G.O.P. Convention -

New York Times: "For at least a year before the 2004 Republican National Convention, teams of undercover New York City police officers traveled to cities across the country, Canada and Europe to conduct covert observations of people who planned to protest at the convention, according to police records and interviews.

From Albuquerque to Montreal, San Francisco to Miami, undercover New York police officers attended meetings of political groups, posing as sympathizers or fellow activists, the records show."

They made friends, shared meals, swapped e-mail messages and then filed daily reports with the department’s Intelligence Division. Other investigators mined Internet sites and chat rooms.

From these operations, run by the department’s “R.N.C. Intelligence Squad,” the police identified a handful of groups and individuals who expressed interest in creating havoc during the convention, as well as some who used Web sites to urge or predict violence. read more

This activity doesn't bother me one bit as the people they are investigating and following around are just like any other terrorists here and abroad they do the same thing with. They're all America haters, well known rabblerousers, anarchists, professional trouble making criminal citizenry with public arrest records from protests and lawless brushups previous who had to have done something wrong in the first place to be on the radar screens of the so-called establishment.

I mean, after that how can anyone be surprised when the authorities are interested in what your doing in your spare time, because if your coming to my city or town to cause trouble, disrupt our daily life, torch our garbage cans and burn our flags I sure as hell want them following your tails around anywhere you go at all times.

To you people I say Freedom isnt free despite what you all think, and isn't defined as a passport to travel from U.S. town to town smoking your pcp laced doobies while carrying profane signs inciting violence, burning effigies of our brave soldiers, our president George Bush or anyone else for that matter on our streets from coast to coast protesting everything from McDonald's hamburgers to the hanging of Saddam Hussein. This isn't some lawless hellhole quite yet, even though you on the left wish it were and keep lowering the standards of this country thereby turning it more third world each and every day.

Try all this free speech crap you people get away with here in any other country and you'll be in for the rudest awakening of your pathetic lives, so please stop whining and crying as there's a price to pay for hating your country in front of TV cameras for the world to see and that is it. You lose your anonymity and privacy with law enforcement and you damn well deserve it...
